Stephen is like a kid in a candy store. Such a beautiful soul. I can't believe I'm crushing on someone who could easily be my grandson. Stay humble and grounded, young man. I hope you'll go places. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
He could easily be my grandson, too, and I think he’s so adorable, plus the most beautiful voice and songs. I LOVE “Evangeline” - bought it and listening to it all the time.
This young man has made a lasting impression on me. His writing and voice are like NO OTHER! I have listen to some interviews with him now and find him to be honest and down to earth. I look forward to watching his career grown and appreciated by many.
People naturally want to compare Stephen to many big stars from the 50's and 60's, but I grew up in that time period and I just got through going through all my "Oldies" music from back then in an attempt to try to figure out who he sounds most like, and I really couldn't do it. He has a style of singing that resembles a lot of artists from back then, but make no mistake, he's his own guy. He has a very distinctive sound that's his alone. But I've decided that the MAIN reason so many people say his music reminds them of the music from back then is because so many of his songs have a killer melody with a strong hook in it. He has a gift for writing VERY catchy melodies that people can only hear one time and then they wind up humming it all day. He also uses certain techniques on his songs that are very reminiscent from that time period (i.e., the high female voice on Evangeline was apparently taken directly from Bobby Goldsboro's "Honey"). I'd love to hear him use some female background singers the way Johnny Rivers did with his biggest hits (On the Poor Side of Town, Baby I Need Your Lovin'). But after going through my list of Oldies artists, I did come up with a list of guys that Stephen reminds me of. I can see how Chris Isaac is often mentioned, but I personally think he sounds like several others more than Isaac. Many of the artists I came up with were huge stars in their own right. They had that certain something in their voice that drew people to them. I hear Stephen in artists like Dion, Frankie Avalon, Gene Pitney, Lenny Welch, Ricky Nelson, Terry Stafford, and Tommy Edwards. All of those guys had a way of singing their hit songs like no one else, and Stephen has that same ability. For instance, the way he sings the main melody line on "Until I Found You" is perfect for his voice, and once you hear Stephen do it, you can't imagine anyone else singing it any better. He's obviously listened to MANY older artists and he seems to have a knack and gift for coming up with strong melodies that those old songs helped develop in his head. He knows what he likes and he knows what a hit song and a strong hook is when he hears it, and he's excellent at finding them for his songs.
Please please take care of yourself Stephen esp in hollyweird.Dnt go with the wrong people and drag you down to the rabbit hole pls do not make that mistake.Keep yourself grounded surrounded by your family & friends.I hope you remain like this throughout your whole career, just pure talent you’re beautiful❤
I don't know about 'humble'. He's playing the game well for a 21 year old, but he's not humble. He's extremely talented and a beautiful singer. I'll bet he's using that rope big time too.

Humble young man. Thank God for the gift of a voice and Stephen 's ability to write music from his heart.
