Iyami. I would say that this is the kind of youtube i have been searching for. I love learning from the experienced. Moving with people like you. Not all these *newcomers UA-camrs roaming around youtube*
Thank you for always sharing your story I just relocated to Canada with my spouse and have been having a hard time securing a job as well😢😢 as a financial analyst I even decided to go for roles like administrative assistant or customer support but still no luck I know with GOD something will come soon 😊
Abeg stay put, same thing with us in Australia. The only difference is that we can pick other job in caregiver and support industry easily. But to break into our professional job is really a tough one but we're not giving up. I've done between 500 to 1,000 applications. To make it worse after good interview performance, they would say you're not culturally fit😅😅😅 but we so much believe we will surely break into it. One of us just landed his own job last week after over 500 applications too. So stay put e go happen 😂😂
I look forward to watch your videos anytime you post them because it's videos that someone will learn one or two things from I know how to go about things in life professionally
Thank you so much! It really gladdens my heart that you are able to learn one or two things from the videos. That really motivates me to keep going. Thank you!
“I never thought it will affect me”!… Thank you for sharing these lines, deep words to reflect on. I can’t wait to hear the story of the mistakes you made with your severance
It so sad when one loses a job we do with our heart. I really enjoyed the story even though it was full of emotion here and there. Thank God ma you got a job back , yes been lead of is not the end of the world there is a better days and opportunities ahead
My story is that: I got a term time role less than 2 month of coming here, and I thought I will get something better before the term ended. That did not happen, and during the holiday, I was not paid. It was devastating to go from earning peanuts to earning nothing. I used the break opportunity to edit UA-cam videos to last my channel a month😂 and fully concentrated on my kuli kuli business here😂😂
All things are possible. My mom relocated at over 60. You can watch her story on my channel. But she had her children here. Which country, what skills do you have, will you have support? It is not a one size fits all but depends on your particular situation. Thanks for watching!
You probably heard my story before. Mine was 2008. I sensed it coming because my boss at that time was not very nice to me. I would greet her in the morning, and she won't answer. I started interviewing outside. I even got 2 job offers with one paying the exact same salary. The other was 2000 less. I started feeling bad when my boss became friendly. So, I declined those offers. One week after, I was laid off. Several of us were laid off the same day. They gave me severance for two months. Luckily for me, I got hired at a different branch of the same company at exactly 2 months after I was laid off. In those 2 months, I applied for so many jobs and did several interviews. I became so good at interviewing 😂😂.
Great points, this is the story of many in Canada and not peculiar and that is why I view Canada as a big stock market, you need to know how to ride the bull in rising markets but heed the "bear’s warning" in times of uncertainty. The issue is most don't understand these signals and end up missing opportunities or making wrong moves and lastly one needs "time" in the market to profit from the up's and down's of the market and that is why I would say if you are already successfully in your home country and in your mid or late 40's and not entrepreneurial inclined don't bother relocating to this part of the world.

Please ma,is it still possible for a 57 years old to relocate to outside Nigeria. I wish to travel after my retirement. Is it possible?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Very much appreciated!
This has nothing to with Canada but rather an industry problem with oil and gas
