Just goes to show everybody that the bikes do not get faster. You can only make a bike so fast. Then it's the rider. 86 model just as fast as the latest 250 and can beat a brand new 450 with the right rider
I never made it to professional Motocross Supercross but Jeff Emig's case is why and how I was able to smoke Ryan Dungey 07 Susuki RMZ 450 #1 racer. In loranger louisiana.
@@claytonandrews7234 2 strokes are faster than 4 stroke plus you can only go as fast as your suspension will allow you to go. Everyone who stayed with 2 stroke are faster because when 4 strokes come out now everyone comes to a stop in the center of the turn from engine braking and then wide open no different than a 500 2 stroke to much power which is just more power down low. I'm a very high gear diehard 2 stroke racer and 6'8 190 lbs. Which is why I smoked Ryan Dungey in 07 I was on my 07 KTM 250SX and he blew his 50,000$ Pro Circuit RMZ 450 engine within 5 laps in loranger louisiana.
Obviously Emig and Hughes and Mike Brown are the only contenders of this race. Awesome to see that an 86 CR 250 is still a great bike. I love the powerband on the 86-90 has great power. Congratulations to the winner.🦊🏁💕🏆💯
I also noticed you were running a higher gear to get the bedy momentum possible by riding down low on the furthest apex of the track ! That was hard work mentally and physically for not overriding the bike. You training certainly payed off ! ✔
So awesome to watch the past champions , there should be more of this , I say roll the red carpet out for these guys , huge respect 🙌 people need to realise there will never be another Emig , Ryno , Mike Brown , Kurt Nicole and anyone else I missed
Thank you for sharing your Race day Mate. You looked like you're having a lot of fun. Good to see Emig is all human. Rare to see Emig go down. Australian fan Madman 🤙🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘
My first race bike was an 86 250cc CR...its a really good bike...sorry great bike ..i got mine off the fastest local pro in north jersey...his dad did porting work for over 40 years an did nothing to his sons bike as i joke about the top shelf job he must have done..he said no i no do any porting it looked stock to have already been nice he just polished the exhaust area thats it no grinding because hrc had it smooth it had the RJ pro circuit pipe...stock the motor was a ripper balanced crankshaft gave no warning it was going warp 5...right off the low end i couldnt ride it bevause it was my first 2 stroke...an my 4 stroke previous bike didnt teach me 2 stroke ways...stock fresh motor was all u needed just rake the gear box...great HRC forks an shock too the forks were the best part my elbows loved the forks...i could understand Rynos worry LLs is famous for soft dirt an deep ruts...he said he leaned it over like a bike with upside down forks an it would plant the inside fork bottom not fun....just wheely thru that an quit complaining..jk great ride Ryan great ride...considering u had know prep or a prepped bike...cool mitch an bones came thru...
I lost interest in following motocross etc bc its been all the same nothing crazy but this guy definitely makes it cool changing it up. Everyone else is just handed a bike and races theres no heart in that i love different bikes and playing with engines just as much as riding
What was good about the 86 compared to every other companys 2 strokes was it ripped off the bottom so fast like a mid 90s factory bike shift as quick as u could it would get traction with out spinning to hard an over whelming the rear tire it gave the rear tire time to engage the way modern 4 strokes do i have only ridden an 07 crf 450s....an was blown away how it hooks an rips....never letting the front touch the ground i liked that...mesa liked that
Is it possible to be competitive in motocross on an older bike? I have a 2001 yz125 that I’m currently restoring and building and I was wondering if people had any experience racing a built older bike against modern machines.
I forgot watching Barry Carsten how much he sits more then others an makes it work it messy but hes fast with that sit more style..his suzuki doesnt seem to want to turn very good it just wouldnt start a turn till he picthes the rear hard...
Im so stoked to see mike Brown still doing well in the mid 90s i was able to bump into him at broom tioga national an tell him to in dry conditions not be a mud rider he was hanging off the back to much an was spinning out in slow corners he listen an won a 125 cc outdoor title he was very receptive i dont see him sitting too far back anymore....i also heard he went to gary semics which shows he integrity...mike was riding hard enuf to be up front but i saw him backcthen make the same mistake in a corner a few times an i was lucky enuf to see him near damon bradshaws pit after i talked to damon
Yes 2 smokers are the true bikes. And who is sending dislikes to RYNO? Dude does nothing but contribute. He doesn't have to do this. You're awesome Ryno. I watched you push the bike across the line back in the day and people need to wake up and quit bitching. I don't know how anyone can hit the dislike????
It is nice to see a big banner behind the podium that does not have a 5 point red star on it. I know, it does not man anything to you guys. Too bad. Glad I am old.
Watching Emig is like motocross art. I only wish McGrath was out there too. Ryno was brilliant and would have destroyed on a 450. But where's the challenge in that.

Good for Ryno he went down now he will focus he ll be mad an he will ride better....he got uo quick an still blasted the berm in thexturn he fell in...whooa..
Ryno is on an 86...but hes the only guy tripling thru the beginning of the 10 commandments....i loved my 86 to bad my skill to ride it came 12 years after it was stolen....
Talk about ryno...E. meg is on a 150cc 2 stroke..proving my words u put a great rider out there on a great 125cc an they should beat everyone lamson or henry hrc guys
U can throw out ur 4 stroke ways to ride a 2 stroke...lucky for ryno he change his riding quick an he raced a 2 stroke so he knows how much harder they made us work to get traction an keep speed up...4 stroke are way easier to ride. Twist n go
I just can't believe I talked him into or rather dared Hughes (in a game of truth or dare) to ride the 86 and if he won he could have a $25 dollar Olive Garden™️ gift card and 10% of at harbor freight™️ on 1 item full retail price.. Ahh good times..™️

Dude that is awesome man! That series of 85-87 CRs are incredible
One of best races thanks to Hughes, Emig, and Brown But Hughes and Emig add more fun to watch.
@Flee Bag 🤣 Understandable

Seems like two strokes is still pretty competitive..
Get you some , player. I feel like I'm still there. Great ride .

Most beautiful mx bike ever, nothing comes close. Weege had a good time calling this one.
Wow !! What a accomplishment 👏 you did it ! That leadership Ryno, there you go ! Your team looked very proud 👏 enjoy the win 🏆

Funny commentary. Karate kicks in turn 2... That is an ill handling machine. Good times seeing you back at Loretta's Ryno!
Damn if Ryno didn’t fall he would have gotten 2nd…,that’s insane on a bike that’s 35 years old
Total dominance! Great ride.

These races would be so much more fun to race and watch if everyone was on 125s
IMO, everyone shouldve been on 2 smokes!😎

2 strokes for the win. Nobody was watching Brown. Ryno needs a 250 SX with a 300 SX kit.
We want brown bro he's the champion they need to compete the best competition it's national

Weeges unlocked hip joke was painful 😂😂
The announcers curse. wtf that shit is crazy. there has got to be something to it and not coincidental
I would have bought a Husky 150,---if I didn't have this extra 40.
250 it was! :)
Watching Emig is like motocross art. I only wish McGrath was out there too.
Ryno was brilliant and would have destroyed on a 450. But where's the challenge in that.
The King of Super-cross..! I’m with you Bro… 0ne of my favorite riders… 🤙🏼✌🏼

I wish Ryno came out riding with a built cr250 not a clapped out cr250
He did and blew the worked up engine in practice. Used a bone stock engine in the races.

I think Lorettas should have a VET PRO SPORT class to allow all the former PROS to race without taking titles from amateurs.

A-kit suspension riders punching the air right now
