Hi, I have been working on CNC grinding for about 30 years in Italy. You are using very old techniques for us: the drivers no longer have a flange but use claws like on lathes or expansion bits for large holes.
Most machines mount the grinding wheel to the right of the motor, making it easier to handle inclined grinding wheels and machining on the sides and conical parts.
Single diamonds are no longer used, ours are mounted on a rotating disc full of diamonds and are not changed for years, always working well.
In my opinion, little coolant reaches both the diamond and the piece, and the revolutions of the piece being processed are too high, given the diameter. We make h3 tolerances on 25x600mm shafts. It is best not to clean the swabs for zeroing measuring instruments with hands greasy with grease and oil. Better to use a special cloth.
