In general we don't "make noises" during movie because it is considered a rude behaviour, although depending on movie people can laugh at funny moments or gasp at exiting/scary moments, but all in all they usually try to stay quiet. Of course, there are always exceptions since these aren't written rules, so occasionally may encounter too noisy people, which can be annoying. Subtitles are generally shown indeed in estonian and russian, in Finland for example you can see movie in English and subtitles are Finnish and Swedish. Basically subtitles for most used local languages. Prices indeed do vary depending on the cinema and on the day, some have special days during which the prices are more then 50% lower then what you paid for those tickets. Should you visit again, try different cinemas if you can and indeed, you can take your own snacks with you. Security won't search your bags, so you'll be fine :)

I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean in an Estonian cinema and 50% of the time everybody was laughing. So obviously the movie you were watching either wasn't funny enough or you picked an early time to watch it. From 8 pm to midnight is the right time to go to the cinema in Estonia

I actually wouldn't say that Estonians are always quiet in the cinema. I went to see War for the Planets of the Apes and while I loved the movie there were a bunch of middle schoolers who literally would not shut up, at least during the first half of the movie. So it varies, but it usually depends on the movie and when during the day is it shown (earlier sessions might have more children who are always noisier).
Our family is not used to eating in the cinema, we just never do it. Maybe because growing up in a small town, our cinema didn't even have the option of buying snacks. At home, yes, i might pause the movie and grab a snack but not in the cinema.
Most of my trips to the cinema have been without snacks, actually. Also, making noise is considered rude - you’re robbing others of their opportunity to watch the movie in silence. Don’t want to distract myself from the movie by nibbling on snacks, either.
im not really into the popcorn but fried food, malaysia cinema sell nuggets,hotdog bun, mini cocktail sausages and even i seen curry puff before and yet etc to potato chip, nachos. hahaha oh rachel its okay as long we responds fast enough to not get caught😆 at malaysia cinema if u watch a horror movie the sound effect will scare u 1st before the horror from the scene.🤣

I usually don't buy anything when going to cinema. Sometimes I buy some candy, but not often. Drinks are no go for me for certain. Since i want to enjoy the movie, and not take any bathroom breaks. :) I tihnk that best way to get silent cinema experience is to have patience and wait a bit before going to see a movie. And then if you can choose a time in middle of workday. I have been alone in big cinema rooms in so many movies already. Even in Cocacola plaza I managed to see a movie in big room with only 3 more viewers.

Thast's not 100% accurate. There is "Crazy Tuesday's" offer, but price varies - depending on if it's 2D or 3D and what hall it is shown (Scape, Luxe, A.Le Coq Sviit or regular). It's kids ticket price to all for all day but price varies.
You should try going to cinema in Finland. They have subtitles in finnish and swedish, since they are so different languages it really messes you up xD

No...you absolutely should NOT buy anything to eat or drink in cinema because it's ridiculously expensive there. With the same amount of money you could go and have a proper lunch-meal somewhere after the movie. It's funny actually how people nowadays can't just watch the movie without stuffing something down their throats. It's exactly what the cinema has tried to make people to do...and they have adopted that trend really well...which is very good for their business. So...unless you have so much money that you don't have to count the coins...do not buy anything besides the ticket. :)
I went to the movies the other night in Bridgeport, CT, USA. For 2 people the tickets were $25 and a small popcorn was $7 (before tax). So if your budget is still $40 a day over here then I guess it just depends how bad u want to see that movie lol. But I’m a huge Harry Potter fan too so I say go for it 👍
Oh and we brought our own drinks and candy in, u kind of have to over here. Cuz we noticed that the “value pack” that we would have gotten had we not brought our own drinks and candy, was: 1 small popcorn, 1 small soda, and a box of m & m’s, = $18!! Crazy right??
A lot of locals are very reserved. They may find a movie scene hilliarious but not funny enough to laugh outloud. And this is's unique to Estnonian people only. Any northern nation is like that. So next time you hear an honest laugh from a Finn or a Norwegian - do know, this is true!

It is not nice in Estonia. :) If you are successful enough to travel around the world then in Estonia there is nice life too, yeah... :) Money can allow getting things from here that are even not made in Estonia but rather imported. Estonians are very good at putting on the clothes made by others and being a puppy for stronger countries. However, starting from zero, it is not easy to earn money here and our laws and limitations for poor people, even more, blocks to ever success on one day. :)

How Do know - What Movies are Shown ?
It is not nice in Estonia. :) If you are successful enough to travel around the world then in Estonia there is nice life too, yeah... :) Money can allow getting things from here that are even not made in Estonia but rather imported. Estonians are very good at putting on the clothes made by others and being a puppy for stronger countries.
However, starting from zero, it is not easy to earn money here and our laws and limitations for poor people, even more, blocks to ever success on one day. :)

Generally in Estonia we don't do voiceovers- the film is kept to the original language. Some exceptions of course are children movies and animations.
