I just bought one . Upgraded from a 27.5 ins / 3x / 21 speed & it is brilliant. Love the Microshift & Tektro hydraulics. Tires are great. Shocks & Saddle perfect for an older rider (75). Champy (Aus). 🚴♀️🐬
Great review Champy. Quite a slick looking ride. Looking forward to taking it for a spin these summer holidays. Hope the saddle suits a slightly younger Champ rider (50).
Great video, what is the major difference between this version 4 vs version 3? I'm looking to do chill trails (not crazy drops or anything)... nothing too technical.
2x9 drive train vs 1x9 on the 4 i'm not certain but i think there is slight difference in the front fork . i have the wildcat 3 female version of the bobcat i changed out the 2x9 after i found it clunky and useless. i was use to a 1x9 on my older bike so the 1x8 was poisoned i rode it 3 months with 2x9 just replaced it with a 1x9 oh the 4 is tubeless ready rims smacks my head marin 3 difference from there website >Shimano Altus 2x9 drivetrain SR/Suntour XCM HLO DS fork
@@melainkinney7213 thanks, due to supply chain issues and desire to upgrade less... I pulled the trigger on Marin 2022 Bobcat 5... which was sold out in my size in most places. Just arrived, can't wait to hit the trails.😁
Soooo this bike is meant to have a 180mm front brake rotor but in your video the front rotor is clearly a 160mm.... Can you provide any information on this?
This bike shares the same frame as the Bobcat Trail 3 which has a front derailleur, so yes it will accept a front derailleur. If you watch the Bobcat 3 video you should get an idea of cable routing etc.
@@BikeBrosBikeShop Ah okay, no worries! It’s a car channel. You sound just like the guy who ran it. Anyways, thanks for the video! Strongly considering picking up the Trail 4.
Just buy the five. TA front BB better then square taper better gear set and fork. That bike your showing would dip 30Lbs. If you changed the fork the rigid or air. Nice ride tho
Bikes are so overpriced now, your paying for the name/frame on this one, components are budget. I also could not buy a bike with boost 141 rear, too much of a headache when it comes to replace/upgrade parts.

Great review👍 Can I set up this with 2x crankset? Is there provision for front derailleur installation? Thank you☺️

This vs Polygon Xtrada 6.
Random, unrelated question. But do you or did you once run another channel called Mod Mini?
Hi, no. I don't know what that is.
