Thank you, this may be just what I needed to hear tonight, for where I am spiritually, mentally and physically.
I was baptized in a little river, many years ago and this song brought me back to that moment, and my hope and faith strongly keeping me together through so much. That hope has faded, my belief is wavering. This song at least brought me back to that day, the very moment and how special and meaningful it was. I've been reminded.
So beautifully sung, with heavenly harmony. You all brought tears to my eyes because of the truth insuch a touching message. But also how great to see that you had the love to sign and caption the video so the deaf and hard of hearing can have the opportunity to see the message we all hear. Our dear son Michael, died last year, aged 50 of a massive heart attack. He was profoundly deaf, a brilliant young man, top sportsman, loving father and a strong advocate for the deaf and people with disabilities. How he would have loved to have seen your video. Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been struggling so much with my anxiety and feeling undeserving of God’s love. I know He gives his love freely, and that Jesus gives His gift of salvation freely. And I know that no human is truly deserving of such beautiful gifts; In comparison to Jesus, who could possibly be worthy?
But I know it’s not entirely about that. It’s doing our best to truly walk in His footsteps, to walk with Him in our hearts. Along my walk of faith, getting to know God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, I’ve felt so much despair and yet more hope than I’ve ever felt before.
This video brought me to tears. I despise crying so much, but I’m okay with this. It touched me.
Thank you so, so much for this video. It’s something I desperately need to be reminded of constantly, that He loves us very dearly and only wants us to come to Him and accept His gifts.

At the river the Jordan River our heavenly father said this is my son in whom I'm well pleased. Thank you David for bringing us all together with praise and worship to our God
Wow! Your post was the means of an aha moment for me, as God connected some dots for me in a huge way. The crossing of the Jordan into the Promised Land has come to mean a great deal to me as a type for the victorious Christian life, but somehow I had never connected that with the significance of Jesus being baptized in the Jordan River! Duh! That’s probably one reason John was baptizing there-not just because “there was much water there.” And then to connect Jesus’ baptism to our baptism being a sign of Surrender to Him by identifying with Him in His death by crucifixion, burial, and being raised with Him to walk in newness of life, makes “the river” very meaningful indeed. And to think that by the Spirit a river of the water of life flows out from our innermost being, just like the it flows from the throne of God in Heaven, well-it almost takes one’s breath away.
It makes me wonder if the place where John was baptizing was the very place where Israel passed over into the Promised Land? Wouldn’t that almost too amazing! But wouldn’t that be just like God!
It’s interesting, too, that Israel crossed over/through two rivers: the Red Sea in leaving the bondage of Egypt (new birth) and then the Jordan River (crucifixion of the flesh; living the victorious Christian life) as a deeper Surrender. The children of Israel could have gone over to the Promised Land eleven days rather than 40 years later if they had had the faith to trust God and not listened to the nay-sayers who were afraid of the giants in the land. So many lessons to learn from God’s Word!
@@VickyRBenson The song is probably referring to the river of life that flows from the throne of God in the new heaven/new earth! Revelation 22.
@@LillybethMakeup I was thinking of it, too, and also there was a river flowing from the millennial throne in Ezekiel 47 which brought life wherever it flowed. Also Psalm 46 says, “There is a river..” and Greater Vision sings it. I heard them sing it once and it became very meaningful to me and filled me with joy one dark night, as I was going in to the hospital to visit my husband who was in a coma. It had been raining, and now the road into the parking lot was a rushing river. For some reason God was so powerfully close that I just started singing it, as much as I knew, and it was exhilarating. I was walking with God as a comforting Friend and that River was special. I knew Jay would be going home, but I knew my awesome God was with me in a mighty way and would be with me all the way. There is still a joy of tears to remember that special time and realize that no matter what, we have a constant, faithful Friend in Jesus. ❤️😊🙏🎶
