Y'all should really fold your clothes as soon as they come out the dryer. Otherwise you're just creasing them by dumping them in a pile. Folding immediately after drying can help extend the quality longevity of the fabrics.

@@slayer-asp-6670 my mom packs EARLY and last i checked shes a woman. i pack last minute. my secret is to wash laundry the day before i pack so that i kill 3 birds with one stone. 1) clean laundry for both the trip/home 2) clothes have only 2 locations, if they WERE all dirty but are NOW all clean, then theres no missing items like the video had. all dirty underwear are accounted for, My favorite shirt is accounted for, freshly cleaned, and ready to be worn at my vactation spot. so yeah, i have a last minute system. thing is, it does take 2ish days, but its not super hectic like a 3 day or full week of prep. Just wash EVERYTHING the day before packing. add another prep day if you have a lot of stuff to wash or more specialty loads.

Which unfortunately became miniature steam rooms. I ended up having to throw away the commemorative shirt everyone in our tour group got, because it was COVERED in black fuzz 😭. Never again will I let a suitcase go unpacked!

It never matters what measures you try to take to avoid forgetting to take something on a trip, you are going to forget something. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you don't forget anything vital.

From someone who has to deal with depression I feel seen (the swimsuit not unpacked from a previous trip is spot on). And the other person being so chill and nonjudgemental about all of this is just so heartwarming.
I just love how supportive the organized one is. Me and my best friend always go on vacation together and we both suffer from depression. It's very reminiscent of those situations. :)
