I know I’m months late watching this, but I only just found you the other day. Love this video. I’m more of a speedy girl, I had the turenne but sold it as it was a bit too structured looking for me.
The first time I watched your video I thought my fire alarm needed a new battery but it was your bird chirping. Makes me laugh now every time I hear it.

An interesting and detailed comparison of these two bags. My personal choice is the classic speedy. I love timeless style.
It certainly is timeless style. Over the next few days I'll post a comparison between the Speedy and Neverfull and the Speedy 25 vs 30 vs 35.
I have both these bags and use them all the time. Mine are in great condition too. The Turenne is now discontinued so I really enjoyed this comparison because there aren't a lot on theTurenne on YT. Thanks for sharing!!!

I have the speedyb de in 30 and I love it. I have the speedy 25 and my sister put D rings on the rings so I can add a strap and it doesn’t stress the stitching as much. The turrienne is so pretty. I have wanted it since I saw your unboxing. Thank you for the comparison. So many bags I want! The pochette metis is the next one I want tho. That is my unicorn.

Nice video! I have Turenne PM and Speedy Bandouliere 25. Is your Turenne perfectly symmetrical from side view?
It looks like the corners aren’t supposed to be pushed out and the pleats should run all the way to the corners to me. Either way I am going to get a Turenne. I love that bag. I’ve never wanted a Speedy. I’m just not a handbag person. I prefer shoulder bags. Maybe the Bandouliere... but I love the Turenne. It’s like an updated version of my Cabas Piano. Thanks for sharing.

You always crack me up with how the SA's are so fuzzy. You're so graceful when referring to your store experience though. Love it. I'm loving the Turrene. Given I feel I don't see them as much as Speedys and NV, and now the Pochette Metis is following in their steps. What are your thoughts on the Pochette Metis would love to know your insight on this bag. I also prefer the Classic Speedy. 😍
I love my Turenne. Such a beautiful bag. Can't go wrong with a Speedy either. I love the look of the Pochette Metis. I've seen a few in person and had the chance to look at one in empreinte. They're lovely and trendy but I'm not sure if they'll hold up as a classic style. For me, I wish the sides of the bag were one piece of canvas rather than seeing all the seams of the pockets (does that make sense?). I also feel like the clasp would be annoying to close. Personally, I'm not a fan of the interior of the empreinte bags (striped canvas like in the Neverfull. I feel like an empreinte bag (Speedy bags included) should have a more luxurious interior at that price point. The canvas ones are nice but they've had so many glazing issues. Those are my thoughts on the Pochette Metis...lovely but not for me.

Thank you for the comparison between the two bags. The video was very in depth and covered everything. I have a lot to think about now. Maybe I’ll get both. I only carry my Caissa wallet, toiletry 19 and a soft Clinique makeup pouch for miscellaneous things. I use my Iena everyday for work and my South Banks Crossbody sometimes on weekends. Maybe I’ll sell my South Banks and get both the Speedy and Turenne. Never in my life have I put so much thought into buying a purse. Great comparison video I can tell you I will for sure be adding the speedy 30 in Damier ebene I keep telling myself I need the bandolier but I’m not sure that I want it again for the same reason you mentioned the leather strip on the side how do you store your bag handles when you put them in dustbags? Message me I have a trick a lot of people don’t know about that will prevent markings on your vachetta as well as your Damier handles and prevents markings on the canvas as well always a great video Autumn ! Xoxoxo love that turnenne , girl use that bag it was meant to be worn !! So pretty !
I'll message you for the storage tip. I do wear the Turenne I just don't wear it as much as the others. I don't want it to be an every day bag and get beat up like the Speedy. This is the one bag I wouldn't be able to sell if I ever HAD to sell my collection because it has so much sentimental value to me. I want to keep it in excellent condition for as long as possible...but I do use it. :)

Great review. I have my eye on the Montaigne B.B. or Montaigne M.M. I need to try both before choosing.
I would love to have the Montaigne GM in empreinte. I was able to try it on once but found that it was very, very heavy. Being smaller (and I don't know if you'd want canvas or leather) the BB or MM might not have that problem. It's a beautiful bag.

You solved my problem: I love my classic Speedy 30 Monogram and my Speedy B 30 DE- so much that I was thinking of adding the Speedy B in Monogram. But it felt redundant to have two Speedy 30’s but I don’t like the 25 for me (the opening is a little small and fussy for me) The Turenne MM just hit my radar and you confirmed that this bag is for me! It’s so pretty. Sorry your store experience wasn’t the best 😢

Your tourenne handles are different heights!! Hope it’s just this video. I received a lv bag of a Speedy b with the handles not even sewn on in the same position either side of zip so they didn’t meet up properly to hold.

With dust bags each bag comes with a dust bag so we don’t have extra ones. The only way we would have extra dust bags is if we damaged out a bag or SLG. So if an item doesn’t have a dust bag and you requested one and they gave it to you you got really really lucky because that never happens.

Hey, I was just wondering if you've considered laying the Turenne flat when storing instead of standing it. I wonder if laying it will fight against the war on gravity.
I've tried that with my Trevi and it messed up the pleats in a different way. I think storing it stuffed and standing is the way to go...or hanging it stuffed but I worry about how that would affect the patina on the handles.
Thanks for getting back to me! I've actually seen preloved Turennes that seem as though they were stored by hanging off their handles and the handles themselves lose the rounded shape they have from the store and become way more coned looking. I think I will try a rotation of storing stuffed and standing (to preserve the pleats) and laying it (to prevent the dimples in that base area.) Thanks again!!

Between Turenne mm and Retiro pm which one would you recommend? I have turenne pm and realized it's a bit small. So I'm looking for a bigger bag in monogram. I also own DE speedy 30. I just can't find a comparison between Turenne mm and Retiro pm.
I've never had the Retiro so I can't speak to it. It does appear to be larger than the Turenne.

I think I’d prefer the Turenne just because it’s not a Speedy 🥴😂 I like the Speedy but I already have excellent leather handbags in the same style. The Turenne isn’t as common or copied, so I like it. I’d want it in the DE pattern with treated leather because I’d mess up that natural leather 🤦♀️😆
