      No, what happens if they can't get a place in a state school? The council pays the private fees and the continue in the private school. It's why they voted not to track how the policy is going, as they knew this would cost them more than that get in VAT.

    • @jackmarshall2496
      @jackmarshall2496 2 дні тому

      @m0o0n0i0r it definitely will result in private school closures, it will result in state schools being overwhelmed, and it will result in a larger burden to the taxpayer. Have you not noticed the pattern? Winter fuel cuts result in more pension credits being claimed, the budget flipped what little growth we had back negative. Starmer was asked how he was going to grow the economy, they responded with increases to public sector spending, yet nobody called him out on the fact that growth of the private sector is how we actually grow the economy. There's no risk assessments, no cause and effect analysis, and no common sense. If this government is playing chess, they would be able to think further than one move ahead.

We are far worse off, sorry but a flat screen tv, foreign holidays and big car doesn't mean you are better off now, it means you are in debt and struggling, its just that people have gotten used to living in debt.

      More like "At least 200". After WW1, and in spite of Lloyd-George's brilliance in saving our industrial war effort, the Liberal Party faded away. Being an anachronism, better suited to the 19th century, this may happen to the Labour Party. It is now in a precarious position, because people can see the warnings from history being rolled out on Labour's red carpet: freedom of speech, sub totalitarianism, the economy, no freedom of choice. A centrally directed economy is inevitable with time, 5 year plans and all.
      If the mutterings about Starmer's saucy personal life are true, better "buckle up, Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is goin' bye-bye". Socialism; ideas so good they have to be enforced.

    8:17 to 8:37 Amen to that brother! I actually don't want much out of life, I don't want to be king of the world or anything like that. I just want enough so I can do okay in life and enjoy the odd luxury here and there. Is that too much to ask for? Apparently yes!

    Anything below being a UA-cam influencer, executive in a private firm, or being a train driver, simply doesn't pay anything worth getting out of bed for.
    I left paid work in 2003. But was earning what the minimum wage is now, BEFORE bonuses, driving a Post Office 7.5 tonner delivering parcels... In 1990. Can anyone explain to me why the minimum wage is currently what I was earning for donkey work (with a clean driving licence) 34 years ago? It's comedic.
    Can you imagine someone in 1980 being asked to work for what an unqualified person doing a white collar occupation was earning in 1946?

    What Rachel from accounts doesnt make clear, apart from the fact she was a junior chess champion, is tht she slready orofits from fee paying schools.
    Every pupil in a fee paying school , saves the taxpayer over £7000 a year, as they dont use a place, teachers, school budget .
    Youngest son had dyslexia and dyscalculia, so we dug deep, went without, took out a £90000 second mortgage to send him to a more suitable school.
    We werent rich, just teachers, but felt it the best option for him, elder son was fine, school sixth form , uni then masters.
    Many parents at fee paying schools are minted, one at our sons school was the chief executive of that 365 organisation, but most parents were just regular folks.

      The parents also pay national and local taxes, each thereby funding at least one place other than their own child's private schooling. This will be in PPE textbooks for as long as our country exists. It is class warfare, and they dread the blowback, because even Jonquil from Islington's parents can see the truth behind classic warnings about socialism, and will abandon their luxury beliefs. To quote, "Hard times breed strong men, strong men breed good times, good times breed weak men", such as the Labour Party. We have the weakest and most dissolute politicians in modern history.
