I remember one day in San Clemente, I saw a Suzuki Alto, right after that I saw a Citroen SUV. I was looking at a beautiful house in San Clemente and right down the street from it was a Mercedes bus. I thought it was a VW bus from far away but then I got closer.
Well… Living here in Germany I can tell you … there are a LOT of cars that they developed that NEVER leave storage space in the basement … unless the whole company goes belly up … maybe THEN you could buy into the leftovers … but I seriously doubt it 😂😂😂
Gonna have to just suck it up and build an actual podcast recording studio in that garage, with acoustic panels. A $1k microphone isn't going to change the fact that you're in an underground concrete parking garage. Appreciate the content and I realize I'm getting it for free so my complaints are relative.

Definitely buy the c7! they’re incredibly underrated - it’s the only modern, lightweight, manual, RWD, NA v8 sports car I can think of, at least for reasonable money. I can honestly say that after owning a 996, an Evora S, and a v8 vantage 4.3 that the c7 is my favorite car I’ve ever owned. Get past the image issues and it’s a fantastic drivers car and such a thrill. Do it!
@@AmosDohms the Evora was incredible, best steering of the 4 by far, and what some people don’t realize is that the intake is mounted much higher than on a Porsche so the intake noise and supercharger whine is right next to your ear, which is wonderful. I will say it didn’t feel quite as planted as the other in the corners, and it’s by far the hardest to live with (no dealer network, limited parts support, brutal to get in an out of, no storage or cup holders, terrible ergonomics, etc.). I also prefer an open roof and the Evora is the only one that doesn’t offer that. It’s an amazing car, but I think I’d take the Aston and c7 ahead of it. Definitely liked it better than the 996 though. Can’t go wrong!
@@JamesM-hb2cj Cool! The C7 has a special place in my heart as the new hot stuff when I was first getting into cars, and I'd be happy to own one some day. So many people complaining about the audio. It was only bad for one minute. Literally one minute. 😂 Why are people in such a hurry to complain in the comments? It sounds like they forgot to turn on the audio recorder for the news update, so they boosted the camera audio as best they could. Easy mistake to make, perfectly reasonable solution. Especially considering how much Doug likes to talk with his hands. 😂 2. Doug gets so animated sometimes that he isn’t always speaking into the mic. I think he gets so into the conversation, he forgets the mic is even there. The more he records, the better he’ll get with his mic technique. Minor technical stuff aside, this is great, Doug and the others are great, and I’m so excited about the way he’s branched out after that big sale. Love this. Keep it up, you guys!

Controversial take on convertibles: no, automakers only regressed back to soft top roofs because they're cheaper and bring recurring revenue to dealerships for fabric top replacement. Mercedes notoriously backslided to cloth roof SL's and the car is much louder than the surreal silence experienced in the R230 and R231 glass roof generations. But soft tops don't require that exquisite virtuoso engineering like Mercedes' hardtop glass roof convertibles. SL's are perhaps the best example of the failures of fabric roof backsliding with catastrophic depreciation because the luxury, refinement, security, practicality, safety and aerodynamic efficiency has been lost in the roof.
Soft top convertibles are LAME. Targa tops and t tops are soooo much cooler. Doesn’t ruin the appearance of the car by chopping a third of it off, yet still get the open air experience.
I love Convertible Cars. They are my favorite type of cars. Basic people drive Sedan and SUV. Also the Chevrolet Cavalier Convertible was a great Convertible. This is why the car industry sucks today. Not everyone wants a basic SUV. I want a glamorous Convertible.

Doug, why don't you use your clout (no matter how small!) to tell these automakers we want T-Tops/Targa tops back? The most perplexing of this is Toyota. Usually automakers say that "too much weight, additional stiffening needed" for this. Toyota, the king of 9/10s (they seemingly purposely screw up something holding it from perfection every time), brought back the Supra which was noted for a Targa top, built the Supra OFF A CONVERTIBLE chassis, and didn't give us a Targa/T-Top. If Toyota brings back the MR2, they will screw up and omit that feature as well. Tell them no. No. You will make the new MR2 not only mid-engined, gas only, and well over 300hp to make it hit 4.0 or sub-4 0-60 times, but also a T-Top roof. Oh, and price it reasonably. Tell them to off-set it's cost with the hyper-inflated and padded profits they're making off that drastically overpriced Tacoma and their 18 other trucks and SUVs.
