The storyline is based off a story where multiple people have claimed to see the same man in their dreams. I think Jeonghan is the who is making the people dream and Wonwoo is waking up people from there dreams into reality
First, it's nice to see you again. Kerry I hope you are doing much better. Now ... To understand this you have to ask the question "What the heck is Nox!!!" Because once you get that, it becomes easier to understand. I'd seen somewhere that one of them was Hypnos and the other is Thanatos. These two are the twin sons of the goddess of the night - Nyx (also known as Nox)!!! Hypnos the god sleep is a benevolent god. Thanatos the god of death is sometimes seen as a god of chaos. Analyzing the video, I would go with Simon when he said that Jeonghan has lost someone who he is trying to find them in other people's sleep (Death is looking for his "love"). Wonwoo the god of sleep is realizing that there is something wrong with people's sleep so being the benevolent god he jumps into people's dreams to find the culprit. The "love" that Thanatos (Joenghan) was looking for is his twin brother Hypnos (Wonwoo) whom he can't see anymore since he only exists in sleep; which is why he was using dreams to try and find him. When they finally meet; Hypnos makes his brother go back to a normal sleep and he leaves humans alone. Jeonghan is the nightmares, and Wonwoo is the man who is scared he might be forgotten - but his brother looks for him to make sure he doesn't get forgotten in the land of sleep. It's a sweet song and concept. I love mythology, so I am so glad they went this route with the MV. I think this may be my favorite song of all time because it combines that sweet message, a Caribbean beat, and Wonwoo & Joenghan visuals 😅😅😅
Thank you for this reaction 🫶🏻🩷 In countdown live, they introduce themselves like Jeonghan is the one who makes dream and the Wonwoo is the one who wakes people up from from dreams to reality
First of all, it's so good to see you Kerry doing better. Hope you are getting alot of rest. Okay now buckle in for story time. The concept is based on this famous urban legend where in several people all over the world has reported seeing the same man in their dream, a man they have never met in real life. There have been reddit threads, blogs about 'This MAN', that's what they named this entity. Now in this video we meet 'original' This Man, Wonwoo, walking around peacefully when he hears about another 'This Man' (Jeonghan) who has been haunting people's dream. But unlike Wonwoo who just wanders around giving people what they want in their dreams, Jeonghan is trying to recreate a world where somebody he used to love is still there because he happened to have lost his beloved in the real world. But in the process of recreating he has selfishly trapped an entire city worth of people in the dreamland and even then his dreamworld keeps collapsing, so he keeps covering them with white sheets. Even his beloved face gets distorted so he covers them up with white sheet too. And that's when Wonwoo finds him and forces him to wake up and face reality. And he wakes up as Wonwoo as his 'This Man' and picks up the habit of drinking lemon juice as dream Wonwoo
They have bside where Wonu and Jeonghan have their own solo song. Maybe if you read the lyrics of those solos, you will understand the story better. Because it's kinda connected i guess?
Love the latin flair to this with the guitar, this and bittersweet both have that latin sound. Also I'm gonna start saying yesternight from now on so much more mysterious than last night. (the literal translation is basically yesterday night but that just means last night in Korean)
My personal narrative for it is that Wonwoo and Jeonghan are starcrossed Sandmen and because Jeonghan misses Wonwoo so much he starts to be unable to sleep himself and he starts going a little crazy, he just goes through everyone's dreams and making people sleep to much because he's tormented with missing him so like Kerry was saying he's somewhat provoking him because he needs help but also he just wants to be together with him again. Then Wonwoo finally does find him and helps him go to sleep but he doesn't stick around but he does take care of him and leaves him lemonade. OK BUT - it could also just be without the starcrossed part and they are both Sandmen and Wonwoo realizes what's going on with him and he goes to help him sleep so he can regain some sanity. He is feeling better one he's finally been able to sleep. This is my own theory.
YESSSSS IM SO HAPPY YOU BACK AND SO HAPPY YOU WATCHING THIS Visual and acting in this is unbelievable Yeah it is last night. If jeonghan putting to sleep with nightmares is that not the boogie man and then Wonwoo is waking them up to reality
This is so good! Loved it! There are 2 more songs in this album, a solo by Jeonghan "Beautiful Monster" and a solo by Wonwoo "Leftover" which also flows-in great with the title track. I wonder if you will check out a lyric video for both~?
Thank you for your reaction hope you react to jeonghans and wonwoos solos on this album… and i hope you also react to spell and cheers to youth mv behinds since you reacted to lalali. Also the maestro and spell dancepractices behind the scenes are also out so i jope you can react to it aswell☺️❤️
The MV is based on the urban legend "This Man" , the one people had been seeing in their dream but don't know who he actually is. For this MV, Jeonghan was suffering from pain, he's avoiding to face the reality. He's travelling in between people's dream pulling them into his dream world (that explains the doors). He's putting them into sleep & giving them sweet dream, trapping them. While Wonwoo saves them by waking them up to face the reality. But Jeonghan got lost so deep in his dream he started to lose his identity & memories (that's why some of the buildings & people's faces are covered in white cloth). Wonwoo then saves him by waking him up. Wonwoo i think is probably the Sandman
JW (Junghan x Wonwoo) unit concept is the 'Urban Myth (Urban legend)'. It is a concept for this particular unit. So if the next album may releases they will be another characters based on another story which were trended in the town/internet. (hope we see more of these for sure!!!) As many explained, this album concept is 'This Man' which were trending internet while ago, which someone shared his/her story of particular man contineously showing in his dream, with a drawing and many ppl were react on it as they also had a same looking guy in their dream for awhile. In this MV, that is Junghan, and Wonwoo plays the reality, tries to drag people back to real life. And he saved Junghan at the end as well.
You can watch the audiobook teaser for more background of the story! It explained the profile of THIS MAN and was read by J&W.

Oh m g the one man that looks uncanny and looks like he’d be a really short man or a really lanky tall man 😭
@@retro_mxxn3334 I think so. I get so uncomfortable seeing a photo of the man

Wonwoo said they'll be releasing an audiobook and it may make us understand the characters better.
