The most beautiful thing about this song is that the love has a standard and is so open and honest. Unashamedly vulnerable in telling the other person exactly what they make them feel, but if you refuse to match my intensity and sincerity this will not go any further. I love how this song shows a love that isn't one sided. If he doesn't feel for her as much she does, she doesn't want him. And I feel that is the narrative that love songs should take because it is so much healthier to be in love with someone who feels the same way about you as you do about them.
