This is an endlessly fascinating conversation on pop culture I love it. I'm watching this again in honour of Jon Schnepp and it really has brought a great deal of joy, Jon was a truly entertaining person and has always and will always put a smile on my face his absence is felt, my heart goes out to Holly Payne losing her partner I can't begin to imagine the devastation she is felling I can only wish to support her in any and all future projects and it's seemed like Jon and Holly had quite a number of brilliant ideas I pray when the time is right Holly continues the journey they started. Rest in Peace, Jon Schnepp 1967-2018
This is the best episode yet!!!! Having Molly, Jon, Marc, and Kevin talking about the manifest of the core elements of what makes us nerds nerdy. Bravo Kevin and Marc!!!!!!!!
Thank you Jon and Holly. Seeing this is a huge inspiration right now. Like Kevin said, "You have a good idea go for it. These guys did!" I'm in the middle of going for it. Hearing about you guys and watching these videos has been a louder positive voice in my head than the 1000's of negative ones. I immediatly bought the Mid-Pack. Going to watch it now!
Rest in peace Jon. You're a great human being and a FANtastic geek. It hurt so much that you're gone but I'm glad your love one was next to you to the end until death. It will be a while until I get over THIS. #RIPJONSCHNEPP
So I finally had to stop this around the twenty min mark and go get this documentary. I watched the entire thing before I came back. I was fantastic. So much I hadn't seen until now.
Such a great episode! I bought this doc the day it came out, and it's awesome! Love Schnepp and Smith! So excited Kevin Smith is finally going to be on Heroes!
Man this guys are so right about comic books and the whole world and fandom of super heroes. I must admit that I'm not much of a comic book person, I grew up with the action figures and Batman the animated series as a 90s kid. But my passion for super heroes was reignited when I saw batman begins and still I didn't bother to reinvest in that world of comic books mostly because I didn't know where to start. When the batman trilogy ended, I found myself wanting more of this world as an adult, I turned to comic books! Reading these stories I realized I was falling in love with the lore, books, art, and reading in general. I bought, read a lot of the classic stories, and as soon as I caught up, I became lost and really didn't like the whole idea of waiting for single issues. I tried, and hated seeing this small portion of a story and art being ruined with wait time and ads within the story. I would love to see this community grow and become better!
Hey Jon. Loved you on the show and I bought a copy of the documentary and loving it. Its so awesome. I also appreciate your comic book knowledge. This how was awesome as always.
Great interview. STOKED about the news slip on the upcoming show. That is a GREAT idea. The Death of Superman lives is excellent. Now, Kevin... you really have to go on Collider Movie Talk or Collider Heros. Love all the great content. Thanks, guys. BOOOOONG!
Great show guys. Loved every minute. Can't wait to see you guys on Collider Heroes as well. Always love this show Kevin & Mark. Keep up the awesome work.
I'm really happy to hear that Schnepp is developing a series. I hope that this means "the death of superman:what happened" went well financially because Schnepp has said multiple times that he had to sell his comic collection etc,and went in debt to create it. He really deserves to succeed, for all the passion he put in this project.. Keep the good job man.. (A sweaty from Greece)
1 minute after i wrote it I heard them say they havent made their money yet... :-( Now I have to find a way to buy the movie despite the fact that we have capital controls here,so we can't make internet purchases..
Hey, Kevin Smith, been a fan for years. You likely wont see this comment, but I wanted to say that Dogma is one of my all time favourite movies. Anyway, hope you make another movie in the future, and im looking forward to your episode of The Flash. Good luck, man.
I'd love to hear more talks about the future of comics & the actual book medium. Also I would love a short weekly pull type podcast of what your reading this week. Love your stuff FatMan
I saw Schnepp at NYCC 2015. The dude truly is big. About 6'5" and just big .. And really friendly ...he was taking his time and talking to as many people as he could. Looking forward to support his next project.
Jesus. I actually saw that Schnepp guy once and he is about my height around 6'2". Just realized now how tiny Kevin and Mark are. Great show about a really entertaining documentary. Keep up the good work little people! :)
I'd rented this a couple months ago and it was [genuinely] the best documentary I've seen in a long, *long* time. I've had Netflix (i.e. _'The Documentary Graveyard'_) for a while, too: so that's saying something. Fun, funny, brave, incisive, and chocked full of fascinating anecdotes, lost footage and amazing concept art. At the end of the day though, it's really just a nerdy little heartfelt look into what these crazy, awesome creative minds had envisioned for this story. Tim Burton's, *_"Superman Lives"_* was one of the greatest tales, never told. No matter how hesitant you might feel going in -- by the end of it, you're left awestruck, heartbroken and furious we were deprived of this flick (especially considering what we ended up getting).
Great episode, I always love watching/listening to Jon Schnepp, sort of the same way I always do with Kevin Smith. ;) I can't wait to see you on Collider Heroes!
Great doc. Whenever it's on Showtime I watch it - engrossing and fascinating about how projects teeter on the brink between realization and collapse in Hollywood.
Great show again! It would be great if Kevin was on Collider Heroes and Jedi Council. I have been watching your show now for the past few weeks and love that you now have youtube channel.
met both schnapps and Holly and they were both giving good conversation and thoughts on some movie geekness at the signing orbital comics in London. look forward to both your return.
The new run of Star Wars comics got me hooked on all kinds of other comics. I never collected comics before. Had a few growing up but not much. Now I'm hooked and reading all kinds of stuff. Hopefully more people do the same.
+skysam freeman yeah the new Star Wars comics are amazing, except Obi Wan and Anakin. You should check out Matt Fractions Hawkeye Run its amazing and the last Daredevil run was really good too
The problem with comics today, they charge 5 bucks for a 30 page issue. with around 5-7 of those pages are ads. I can buy a 300 page novel for 8 bucks, with no ads. They are going to have to make the weekly, or monthly issue release needs to offer more to justify the cost.
I saw THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN LIVES in London and loved it cant wait to get the DVD for the DVD extras, but why does the Blue ray have 8 hours of extra footage and the dvd only 4
DEATH OF SUPERMAN LIVES was probably the most entertaining and interesting documentary I've ever seen! But if you (somehow) haven't heard the _Evening with Kevin Smith's_ story about the Superman story watch that first; you'll enjoy the doc even more because you'll better understand the backstory why John Peters is such a joke. But seriously, *go buy/rent this movie!!!*
Very very excited about this Blu-Ray and this TV series. We learn more from failures than we do from successes. And it's not that these "lost films" that are failures, but something in the process, something to do with studios politicking or poor management, are and there's lessons to be learned there.
It’s awesome to go through these comments from 2yrs ago and seeing the love for schnepp. Rest in power man 🤟🏾
Jon Schnepp brought me here. Miss him already. R.I.P sweaty.
RIP Jon Schnepp, thanks for all of the making Collider Hero's so much more awesome! Your the sweaty man!
Jon Schnepp is so great. I'd love to see him and Kevin go comic book shopping on Jon's new show.
Now Kevin needs to be on Collider Heroes some time. He would fit right in with the people on that show.
I'd watch Kev and Schnepp talk about comics for days.
+Mike Honcho That would be awesome and they have chair on the Collider set!
Yea they said he is going to be Heroes
+Mike Honcho and the schmoes know show, when they come back
+Mike Honcho wasn't he somewhere in there? once?
seeing this you can see what a great team Holly and Jon is / were ...John passing what a shame ....amazing together .....
This is an endlessly fascinating conversation on pop culture I love it.

It's funny that he's the King of the sweaties, and he's so awesome that he turns every nerd listening to him sweaty.
I've been waiting to see this doc for so long. Glad to see everything came together.
This is the best episode yet!!!! Having Molly, Jon, Marc, and Kevin talking about the manifest of the core elements of what makes us nerds nerdy. Bravo Kevin and Marc!!!!!!!!
HOLLY, not Molly. And thanks.
+Jonathan Schnepp I am so sorry. I saw your movie twice, and it gets better each time

+Holly Payne she's gorgeous too
PPPLLEEEEAAASSEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Jon and Holly. Seeing this is a huge inspiration right now. Like Kevin said, "You have a good idea go for it. These guys did!"

So I finally had to stop this around the twenty min mark and go get this documentary. I watched the entire thing before I came back. I was fantastic. So much I hadn't seen until now.
Ha ha ha... Kevin suggesting we should've turned off this video and go watch it at the 34 min mark.
Such a great episode! I bought this doc the day it came out, and it's awesome! Love Schnepp and Smith! So excited Kevin Smith is finally going to be on Heroes!

I miss Jon so much. Internet fan culture is not the same without him in it. Legends live forever.
great listening to you Kevin, and as always great guest. Keep up the good work Sir.
Jon Schnepp is fucking awesome. He's one of the best things Collider's Movie talk has going for it, and frankly, one of the only reasons I watch it.
RIP Jon. I'm sure the Williams Street family will never be whole again.
I love u jon ❤️ u inspired all of us and we will all miss u
How on Earth could 19 folks give this a thumbs down? More guests! Best episode yet!
I know he is already popular with the people that are familiar with him and his work, but Schnepp deserves even more of a following. Great guest guys.
Schnepp and Smith team up is something I've been desperate to see for ages, will be great seeing the pair of you on heroes.
Man this guys are so right about comic books and the whole world and fandom of super heroes. Hey Jon. Loved you on the show and I bought a copy of the documentary and loving it. Its so awesome. I also appreciate your comic book knowledge. This how was awesome as always.
great interview guys! you finally found someone who talks more than Kevin himself.
Great interview. STOKED about the news slip on the upcoming show. That is a GREAT idea. The Death of Superman lives is excellent. Now, Kevin... you really have to go on Collider Movie Talk or Collider Heros. Love all the great content. Thanks, guys. BOOOOONG!
This is a great advert and conversation. I bought a copy of this doc, and enjoyed the interview.

Just got this in the mail and watched this last night! Loved it!

Dude Kevin Smith could have been Kevin Fiege before Kevin Fiege....... doesn’t that blow anyone else’s mind!?!?
i just found this & am just at that part! yep. mad to think how DC & the DCEU might've turned out.
OMG seen the documentary 2 times! Bought it, money well spent :D
You're great Jon
They need to make an animated movie of Superman Lives and have Nic Cage voice Superman!
I agree to this!!!
+VALENTINEproductions I was thinking the same thing. They need to do that, along with a Smallville animated movie. Love that show.
+VALENTINEproductions they kinda already did have an animated version and kevin smith has a cameo in it. Superman: Doomsday (2007)
+The Delightful Ducky Show yea but that was more the adaption of the comic.
Could watch another 2 hours of these guys . Kev & Marc you should have Jon & Holly on again just getting sweaty about comics , movies, tv shows.
Still having seen the doc coz shipping to Europe is €30 and I can't find it in stores (yes I know about digital but I really want the bluray)
Great video. I love Schnepp's energy. Getting proper sweaty!
RIP John Schnepp, will miss you.
