Wow that is a LOT of miles! My ‘15 i3 can do 70 miles...on a good day. Nice video, really enjoyed the on screen graphics, and very informative on a car I’ve never seen in person 😄
It’s great mileage, isn’t it! I will eventually do a video on how it fares on a long motorway drive but we estimate it’ll comfortably do about 120 miles at a consistent 70mph. And thank you very much!
@@JessShanahan Oh please do! Years ago I did a long journey video (one of my first) in the i3. I probably should re-do it (it’s terrible) but the prospect of another long journey in that car is terrifying! Haha
@@DougsCars This is the problem with EVs, that range anxiety is a real thing. I did a 2500-mile road trip in a Kia Soul EV and really had to change how I drove and the kinds of roads I took. The range was about 100 miles to a full charge.
@@JessShanahan Yes my eye is twitching at the thought! I’d like to say that charging infrastructure has improved since I made that video 3 years ago, but... The i3 is perfect for around town errands, but it’s more a toy than a real car. I obviously have other “real” cars. Which is unfortunate because the i3 does well on the highway. For about 45 minutes 🤣
I really like the idea of a full electric car,it's the way forward, but it's just like you said,it's probably not a long range vehicle.....just yet As technology gets better it will get further and further without draining so quick and a full charge in an hour Maybe 1 day
Yeah. The tech is absolutely moving this way. For people who do 300+ miles every day, an EV as an only car might not be practical but there are loads of cars coming out boasting 600+ mile ranges, which is so exciting.
@@itsmephil2255 Yeah. There’s a certain change of pace and how you choose a route for longer trips. But most people will ultimately charge at home. The biggest thing will be working out what that means for people without off-street parking.
After watching this video I want to get ZOE much more than before Jess!
It really is a great car. Hopefully I’ll be able to share some actual driving/road trip stuff soon.
@@JessShanahan yes why not? Road trips will be good for us to watch too
Yer the Zoe is a great car ! 9000 miles done so far in about 7 months but 2 been in lockdown so 5 ish months of driving!
I’m so the same , I sing my heart out in the car, only when alone of course lol
Great video, I'm looking forward to your future road trips in the Zoe!
Thank you! I too am looking forward to those road trips. 😆
Enjoy your Zoe and take care and safe travels when we’re allowed to
Thanks for your video. Enjoy your car ! Take care and stay safe and safe travels if you need to travel! Great colour same as ours!
Thank you Nickie! Hopefully I’ll be able to safely get out for a drive soon.

@@JessShanahan that's the thing, you can't be running a power lead out to the road
@@itsmephil2255 Exactly. Though I did see someone who had a pole that fed the cable above the path!
How do you find charging options out and about. I rent and therefore would be relying on public charging?
Take a look at www.zap-map.com. You’ll be able to find all the different chargers around you.
