In spite of the wrong letter, which could've happened Express or not, there's little to no reason to not do the Express. Think about it: if you pass on it and then decide to spin for some reason, you may very well hit Bankrupt anyway. Even if not, if you do call a wrong letter it probably won't get back to you and so you still lose.
The only reason I can think of for not going for the Express is if you want a little more time to look at the puzzle and try to figure it out in between guessing letters (while the wheel is spinning).
He would have lost it anyways. You have to win solve that round's puzzle when grabbing the 2nd one, and He wasn't going to get a letter, whether going for the express or not.
@@KJYKJY1985 He is trying to say if he hadn't jumped on the express. He would have had to solve the puzzle or spin and guess another letter. Clearly he didn't know the answer. So he would have had to spin again and then he would most likely have guess the same letter that he originally did. Thus he would have still lost it all.

Well, I think he got thrown off with the way the letters were arranged. I've seen it happen loads of times on the show, but as bad as things were for him, it could've been worse. He still got three other puzzles and walked away with an all-cash total of $12,550.

The Express does hurt a lot of people sometimes. If you want to be successful in it, you have to get really lucky, and try to call every letter that's in the puzzle. Then, you have to solve the puzzle correctly, and not mess it up. Otherwise, it's a Bankrupt.
