It is indeed a pity there was no sound in the 1920. What stories those men who played in the first ever test match could have told. Especially as that status was given retrospectively.
Footage of Harold Larwood can be found in the following of my uploads: 1930s Cricket Legends 1930 Ashes Series The Cricket Archives Episode 2 1930s Bradman Part 1 Bradman Part 2

Still its a gem to watch the 3-4 cricketers who played in the very first test 1877 in MCG. Great to see Charles Bannerman....the only footage of him!
What a treat to see this!!
Thank you for uploading thIs. I used to have this on VHS but stupidly I got rid of all my old tapes.
Vic Richardson ,the double of his grandson Ian Chappell

Great doco. Do you have Cricket in the 60s?
Thanks Sam. Yes I do have Cricket in the 60s. I'll upload it in the next few days.
The commentator has confused Charles and Alec Bannerman. Only Alec played in the 1882 Test.
A lot of 'forcing batsmen' back in Woodful's day ... where have they gone today, these 'forcing batsmen' ....
23:47 Great wicketkeeper.
He's like a fucking mongoose at quarter speed playback.
15:08 That's how you pick a bat.
Good music. Way better than the generic youtube shite. Classic.
