English translation of the video: Sri Sarada Devi, called also the Holy Mother, was the spiritual consort of Sri Ramakrishna. Though married, the holy coupled lived life of unbroken chastity and purity, as each of them regarded the other one as God Himself. Moreover, Holy Mother was one of the principal disciples of Sri Ramakrishna. She also attained spiritual illumination and in the second half of her life became spiritual teacher for hundreds of people. While Sri Ramakrishna was selecting his disciples with great care and attention, the compassion of the Holy Mother is so great and strong, that she was incapable to to send away anybody who sought solace and refuge in her. She accepted as her disciples hundreds of people, purified them, took their sufferings on herself and through her great spiritual power liberated them. Her life is the perfect example for living in the world unattached. She was surrounded by many relatives to whom she, in spite of her spiritual elevation, served from morning to evening and yet, all the time, her mind left untouched by the worries and the problems of everyday life and she always dwelled on transcendental level. Swami Premananda, a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna says for her: "Who understands Holy Mother? Who can understand her? You have heard of Sita, Savitri, Vishnupriya and Radharani. Holy Mother occupies much higher place. In her one cannot notice even the smallest trace of divine powers, while Sri Ramakrishna was manifesting powers of Knowledge; very often we became witnesses of his ecstasies and samadhi. But in Holy Mother even these powers were concealed and under control. What supreme Power is this! Don't you see how many people are streaming towards her! The poison which we cannot swallow (the sins of the devotees), we just give to her. And she gives refuge to all. Infinite is her compassion. "The elevated Empress on Her own will appeared as a poor woman. She sweeps, scours utensils, grinds rice and even cleans the leftovers from the food of the devotees. Infinite patience, infinite mercy and before all - full self-abnegation even to the smallest trace of egotism." Teachings of the Holy Mother "The purpose of one's life id fulfilled only when one is able to give joy to another." "I tell you one thing ‒ if you want peace, do not find fault with others. Rather see your own faults. Learn to make the world your own. No one is a stranger, my child; the whole world is your own." "Man finds faults in others after bringing down his own mind to that level. Does anything ever happen to another if you enumerate his faults? It only injures you. This has been my attitude." "Everything depends on one's mind. Nothing can be achieved without purity of mind. It is said, 'The aspirant may have received the grace of the Guru, the Lord and the devotee; but he comes to grief without the grace of 'one'. That 'one' is the mind. The mind of the aspirant should be gracious to him." "My child, this mind is just like a wild elephant. It races with the wind. Therefore one should discriminate all the time. One should work hard for the realisation of God." "Let me tell you how to love. Do not demand anything of those you love. If you make demands, some will give you more and some less. In that case you will love more those who give you more and less those who give you less. Thus your love will not be the same for all. You will not be able to love all impartially." Regarding Asanas Mother said, "Be a little careful about it. If you continue such exercises for a long time, the mind may be diverted to the body. Again, if you give them up, it may affect your health. Therefore you should exercise your discretion." "Can one mango which ripens out of season be as sweet as one which ripens in the summer, its proper time? Man are trying to get fruits out of the season… But these are not as sweet as those found in the proper season. This is also true of the efforts that lead to God-realization." "Do you know, my child, what God's grace is like? It is just like a candy in the hand of a child. Some people beg the child to part with it. But he does not care to give it to them. Still he easily hands it over to another whom he likes. A man performs severe austerity and spiritual practices throughout his life to realize God, but he does not succeed, whereas another man gets his realisation practically without any effort. It depends upon the grace of God. He bestows His grace upon anyone He likes. Grace us the important thing." "Be sincere in your practice, words and deeds. You will feel blessed! His blessings are always showered on all creatures on the earth. It is needless to ask for it. Practice meditation sincerely and you will understand His infinite grace. God wants sincerity, truthfulness and love. Outward verbal infusions do not touch Him." "One must perform work. It is only through work that the bondage of work will be cut asunder and one will acquire a spirit of non-attachment. One should not be without work even for a moment." "As long as a man has desires there will be no end to his transmigration. It is the desire alone that make him take one body after another. Rebirth is inevitable so long as one has desires."
