      Anthony cook Yeah my bad, its a moon haha. No but jake told me that he was looking at titan through a telescope and thats what it looked like on that particular night, and it really inspired him.

    I love how consistent the tone of the guitar, and Jake's playing, are at 3:19. You can hear him doubling himself, and the two solos are ever so slightly phasing with each other. Nice.

      i agree, the nut will buzz a bit but nothing a little packaging foam won't help, lots of guys do that. and kinda bummed it doesn't have a tremol-no bc periphery used to put them on every guitar with a trem they had :P

      Yea, I agree. I like that it doesn't have Jake's name plastered all over it, like most signature guitars do, so anyone could play it and you'd just think they had a typical high-end Ibanez. I love the finish too.

    Ibanez is a brand so many artists I like are with, but I've owned a few of their guitars and I've never been a fan of the way they played or sounded. I'll have to play the JBM if I happen to spot one sitting at Guitar Center.

  • @danielyang4947
    @danielyang4947 6 років тому

    Today I got the JBM27 but the neck is not the same as this video. Looks like Ebony Fratboard. Ebony Fratborad sounds better though. Anyway I tuned it up to #1-E to #7-B with D'Addario EXL110-7 7-String Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, Regular Light, 10-59 and sounds great. I broke the original strings while adjusting the neck / truss rod so good thing I had 2 extra string. But I think compared to ESP LTD Deluxe M-1007MS sounds better although that doesn't have the Tremolo Bridge but over all sounds better with all same setting with Dark Side Pedal. I also have Ibanez S1070 and RG 1070PBZ and those has better Tremolo Bridge Adjustments. And another thing is I couldn't find the exat String Gauge Set from Anywhere! So Now I'm thinking Why did I get the JBM20 and Not JBM100? And! It was a Special Order and had to wait almost 3 weeks to get it. So far I have Ibanez SRF705, SRSC805, SRXC806, SRMS805, SRMS806,M80M and BTB845V And S1070,RG1070.

    • @Aaron_LH
      @Aaron_LH 9 років тому +1

      Bro save your money. Telling you, once you get into the 2000 and up range, It's worth every penny. Especially when it comes to artist customs. The intonation is always perfect, the sound is thick and full and the overall quality is top notch. Just for an example, I have an ESP eclipse II and an LTD ec-1000 deluxe. Bout a 1200 dollar difference between them. They look identical and use the exact same pickups, yet the ESP is a million times better. You can't beat a custom shop guitar. They're built by perfectionists. I'm saving up for this one. I expect to be blown away. Wish it didn't have the floating bridge though.

    • @Aaron_LH
      @Aaron_LH 9 років тому

      If you build it yourself then yeah, you can. Or take it to a reputable shop and have them fix any sloppy work. This is just my experience frankly. But in terms of guitars, you really do get what you pay for. The price tags are usually pretty well justified. A custom shop is always going to have much tighter tolerances.

    • @spool29k97
      @spool29k97 9 років тому +2

      Gibson has the worst quality control for the price range. I was thinking about getting this guitar ,but i might try to see how much a custom Carvin would cost with my specs.

      Alex that's a little closed-minded if you ask me. I'm not sure where you're from but I'm living in America and there are a lot of native Spanish speakers. I took the time to learn Spanish because its relevant, and I love the language. it's far from insignificant. Hispanics take the time to learn English because English speakers always expect them to for their own convenience, and it only seems fair to me that English speakers learn Spanish as well.

    Man pretty much every guitarist who gets a sig guitar is going to take an already existing model and make a couple tweaks here and there and then try to convince you that his or hers sig is really "unique" from the rest and then the manufacturer slaps a ridiculous price on it. Ive never been a fan of signature guitar models. Even though I know Ill never be famous but for me personally if ima drop a crazy amount of money for a guitar id rather get a custom shop guitar built for me and spec it out to my likings. Never understood why ppl pay crazy money for someone elses specs when you can spec it out to your specifications.

      What model is the untweaked version of this sig guitar?

      Although it was inspired by other brands, you can't really say Tosin Abasi's new prototype is based on a previous Ibanez design. except the headstock. But that body...that guy has some serious design taste.

      +Ben nah, best superstrat design so far,
      I'm heavy fan of flame/quilted/exotic grain for tops, especially for superstrats.
      But this guitar is destroying my opinion, with that plain matte top.

      +Ben These are priced just right dude. You're paying for unparalleled build quality. These are cheaper than any PRS/Jackson of the same quality.
