if thats a crescent moon inlay, im in love haha
Plini nah, its the planet titan
Pretty sure it is a crescent moon. And Titan isn't a planet, it's a moon.
Anthony cook Yeah my bad, its a moon haha. No but jake told me that he was looking at titan through a telescope and thats what it looked like on that particular night, and it really inspired him.
no. it's jake's beard
Pliniiiiiiiiiii
I love how consistent the tone of the guitar, and Jake's playing, are at 3:19. You can hear him doubling himself, and the two solos are ever so slightly phasing with each other. Nice.
I can listen to Jake playing LAAC solo all day. Such a great vibrato!
2:22 i just realized that jake played absolomb
Yup Absolomb is actually an old song from Bulb that was rewritten for the new album P3
Jake's vibrato at 3:19 just impregnated me
For real haha it's so nice
Jake Bowen. So underrated. So over powered.
***** Out of the three, or 4 with Ollie
I wish they made a non trem version!
pretty sure it'll come with a tremol-no
I just hate the pain of fine tuners, or a locking nut.
so engage the tremol-no if it has it and don't lock down the nut
i agree, the nut will buzz a bit but nothing a little packaging foam won't help, lots of guys do that. and kinda bummed it doesn't have a tremol-no bc periphery used to put them on every guitar with a trem they had :P
so an RGA121? haha
Why was this amazing guitar discontinued in 2021 without a successor? :c
This has to be the first well thought out signature guitar to come out on the market in a while. Anyone who plays rock or heavier music could easily make this guitar their own.
What about Lucas Mann (Ring's of Saturn)'s signature guitar from Etherial?
Ethereal doesn't produce that guitar to be sold on a wide scale. This is a production model.
Although I believe a few other decent ones have came out recently (Schecter KM-7, to name one), this is one of the best I have ever seen.
Yea, I agree. I like that it doesn't have Jake's name plastered all over it, like most signature guitars do, so anyone could play it and you'd just think they had a typical high-end Ibanez. I love the finish too.
Madison Taylor
for $3,000 each?!
Congrats to Jake the guitar looks awesome! Cant wait for the new album!!
This is so much better than 90% of the new Ibanez signature videos. The playing is better and so are the feels! Guitars are purchased after seeing this for sure
2:40 racecar?
I love the guitar, the paint job, and also the inlay
I just bought one of these I'm so stoked 😬
The gold with that finish is one of the nicest things ive ever seen
Glorious looking and sounding guitar
3:30 Dat bend! Always love watching Jake play guitar
Damn sweet axe, one of the few Ibbys that I like nowadays. Jake is incredibly underrated (especially compared to Misha) and seems like a cool and humble guy. Props to this and keep the good stuff coming!
vbdude006 is misha that good, or just good at marketing? Never saw him play anything mindblowing
Damn,Jake's playing and the guitar sound so sweet.
Does Anybody knows from what amp/modeler the sound comes out in 2:22 ?
That's one nice looking guitar. Digging the sounds of the Titan set as well.
Ibanez is a brand so many artists I like are with, but I've owned a few of their guitars and I've never been a fan of the way they played or sounded. I'll have to play the JBM if I happen to spot one sitting at Guitar Center.
What is the song that starts playing at :40?
what's the song towards the last part
I would love to have that badass guitar
What's the name of that last song he's killing it on
Jake is so amazing
What is the intro song ??
What's the song at 1:22? Sorry i'm just trying to get into their music.
Need a 7 string version of this
Please tell me these are gonna be available in the UK and for less than a stupid amount of cash
Since i mainly play modern aggressive metal music, like Chimaira, Slipknot, Textures, Upon A Burning Body, Limp Bizkit, some linkin park,... would this guitar fit my needs of a high gain agrresive guitar? Or the pickups would hold me back from achieving the aggressiveness i´m looking for?
That looks great.
What song first title please TQ.
Does it come in a 7 model
What amp?
Wonder when jakes cheaper model will be released considering misha and mark have one now
Locking tuners on a floyd guitar is for speed changes?
this ending video is epic, i like it.
Does anyone know what song he's playing at 2:25? Those chords are gorgeous
+Somak Maitra Absolomb by Bulb. Apparently its going to be on P3!
So im looking at this guitar in the Sweetwater catalog, and its tuned to drop C from the factory but it sounds like he's tuned to drop A. Whats going on?
+Felix Nilbog They change tunings a lot. On the new album there's tunings for 8 and 7 strings, IIRC 2 half steps down and for 6 strings there is Drop C and Drop C with lowest String to A
What is the name of the track he is playing at 3:19 ?
Luck As A Constant
Honestly, it is VERY VERY CLOSE to my dream guitar: Ibanez RG Prestige shape, soft arched body, Dimarzios, single volume, Lo-pro Edge bridge, all around binding, and REVERSED HEADSTOCK! Pitty there isn't a sunburst finish... what can i do, i'm a sucker for sunbursts =)
does anybody know the song that playing in the beginning
+Tom Cruz periphery - the summer jam
does anyone knows where the ambient kinda sound at 0.40 comes from wich song ?
It might be from himself. You know, he has released a solo album with ambient electronic songs. It's really good!
Jake Bowen - Breach
Which is that song at the starting of the video.
the summer jam-periphery
JBM100 .............. JPM100 mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... all is in family
what song at minute 3.15 ? its amazing!
Luck as a Constant
thanks bro!
Today I got the JBM27 but the neck is not the same as this video. Looks like Ebony Fratboard. Ebony Fratborad sounds better though. Anyway I tuned it up to #1-E to #7-B with D'Addario EXL110-7 7-String Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, Regular Light, 10-59 and sounds great. I broke the original strings while adjusting the neck / truss rod so good thing I had 2 extra string. But I think compared to ESP LTD Deluxe M-1007MS sounds better although that doesn't have the Tremolo Bridge but over all sounds better with all same setting with Dark Side Pedal. I also have Ibanez S1070 and RG 1070PBZ and those has better Tremolo Bridge Adjustments. And another thing is I couldn't find the exat String Gauge Set from Anywhere! So Now I'm thinking Why did I get the JBM20 and Not JBM100? And! It was a Special Order and had to wait almost 3 weeks to get it. So far I have Ibanez SRF705, SRSC805, SRXC806, SRMS805, SRMS806,M80M and BTB845V And S1070,RG1070.
2:23 is Absolomb!
You had me at ebony fretboard. There needs to be a seven string as well.
Its nice and all and I am glad he has a signature but why didn't they also make a 7 string verson as well?
They're making one.
What song is he playing at 1:24?;p
The summer jam by periphery
Whats the first song playing?
Levi Verzola summer jam
so you have a locking tremolo , why the fuck do you need locking tuners i understand quicker string change but really ? it takes time on a flyod anyways
+John Coyne I believe it's because he uses a tremol-no and occasionally plays with the nut unlocked.
Richie Allan signature endorsement!
you guys gonna make a budget version of this guitar? plz make one for under 1k
Bro save your money. Telling you, once you get into the 2000 and up range, It's worth every penny. Especially when it comes to artist customs. The intonation is always perfect, the sound is thick and full and the overall quality is top notch. Just for an example, I have an ESP eclipse II and an LTD ec-1000 deluxe. Bout a 1200 dollar difference between them. They look identical and use the exact same pickups, yet the ESP is a million times better. You can't beat a custom shop guitar. They're built by perfectionists. I'm saving up for this one. I expect to be blown away. Wish it didn't have the floating bridge though.
If you build it yourself then yeah, you can. Or take it to a reputable shop and have them fix any sloppy work. This is just my experience frankly. But in terms of guitars, you really do get what you pay for. The price tags are usually pretty well justified. A custom shop is always going to have much tighter tolerances.
Gibson has the worst quality control for the price range. I was thinking about getting this guitar ,but i might try to see how much a custom Carvin would cost with my specs.
If they made a budget version Id buy it so fast, I don't have 2000$ plus tax to drop on a guitar even if I save my money unfortunately ;-;
What's the point of having locking tuners if you have a locking nut?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's for ease of restringing
gratz jake
What's the song at 3:16
+Brandon Sachs Luck as a Constant if I remember correctly.
part 3.14s what is that song
+David Karpi Luck As A Constant by Periphery.
I wish I knew what real amps he likes his tone is GODLY
John Petrucci is Jake Bowen's uncle. JP used to play Ibanez but switched to Music Man later. I wonder if Jake will do the same.
For real?
Yes, but he's not Jake's blood uncle.
Im so glad he grew that beard
What's the need for sperzels locking tuners if you have a locking nut.?
ease of string changing
+Mark Patrick whats the point of having a floyd rose system if you never use the trem lol.
+JgHaverty They feel good, and they sound killer.
Im sincerely confused why he didn't make his guitar a hard tail. He literally never uses the trem, its always locked. I prefer guitars with floyds personally, and ibanez always has the best iterations of them (edge, lo pro). Doesn't change the fact his are locked in position all the time lol MyPenguinsFly
anyone know the price of this yet?
$2499.99
Adrian Valencia Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Guess I'll just buy an RG and put Dimarzio Titans in it.
song name at 0:40??
***** Djentrude - Jakestorm
Lol jk. It's actually Jake Bowen - Breach
I think it comes from Jake's solo album
Song
Usually I'm more a Jackson fan, but this is just a f*cking sexy guitar
Fuck Jackson
Damn, dat lead tone
YES YES YES :D
GODDDDDD !!!
Wow
I've never listened to any of Periphery's music. Nothing against them, just never gotten around to it, but they remind me of _Protest the Hero_ in a really good way. More importantly though, that guitar looks gorgeous
mitchell2719 Force yourself to listen to some Periphery sometime dude. It'll be worth it if you like PtH. To start you off how about you listen to Scarlet.
+Jimmy Silvers you sir are a genius
Should I go with these pickups or the Bare Knuckle Juggernauts? I'm having a hard time deciding.
+Lucas Godoy Castillo I did actually. They're really expensive so I'm going to get the Titans. and it's okay, your English is about ten times better than my Spanish
after seeing bulbs Jackson this Ibanez is elite
Alex that's a little closed-minded if you ask me. I'm not sure where you're from but I'm living in America and there are a lot of native Spanish speakers. I took the time to learn Spanish because its relevant, and I love the language. it's far from insignificant. Hispanics take the time to learn English because English speakers always expect them to for their own convenience, and it only seems fair to me that English speakers learn Spanish as well.
Alex Actually many people claim we should all make an effort to learn Mandarin because that's going to be language of the future and is already the most widely spoken language
***** *Mandarin anyway I didn't say I was gonna learn was just saying what other people say 😂
WTF IS HE PLAYING AT 2:39 itsoundss soo atmospheric
+King B Racecar
He's playing his part from the beginning of the Periphery song "Race car" go listen!
+King B the greatest song of the century! 15 minutes of pure genius
Luck as a constant! the 2nd solo at the end
Why locking tuners on a guitar which has a locking nut?
Isn't that overkill?
Lockception.
maybe to speed up re-stringing time perhaps?
***** then do it
***** Sorry! It's been a long week!
took a standard model and changed the color/pickups, wow
I love so much Periphery, I respect Jake Bowen and I really like the JBM, but geez he looks so bored when he plays x)
JordanMandas Official yeah... but guitarists like Guthrie Govan or Greg Howe plays great, that mean they focus, and they don't look really bored ;)
+Tom Kaduk it's not a complain, it's just a personal observation :)) and if you find this dumb, why do you pay attention on it and reply to me ? x)
+Alex Muscalu Well, he's John Petrucci nephew hehehe they don't show that much energy when they play. I guess it runs in the family.
I like everything except the inlay
Wait, I thought periphery played with a 7 string?
The play 6, 7 and 8 strings.
Absolomb at 2:20!!! :D In other words...
Half Life 3 confirmed.
Nice ax but it cant top that PRS mark has...nothing can really.
Jake looked a ton better without the beard.
First comment, im so happy :D, Hi mom!
Btw fucking great video Jake (y)
It's a lovely guitar but I can't afford it. :P
2:36 made me lost my mind
Bmx mp2 kl50
Plini
Locking tuners on a floyd locking system? Eh
well.. atleast it's in tune.
Man pretty much every guitarist who gets a sig guitar is going to take an already existing model and make a couple tweaks here and there and then try to convince you that his or hers sig is really "unique" from the rest and then the manufacturer slaps a ridiculous price on it. Ive never been a fan of signature guitar models. Even though I know Ill never be famous but for me personally if ima drop a crazy amount of money for a guitar id rather get a custom shop guitar built for me and spec it out to my likings. Never understood why ppl pay crazy money for someone elses specs when you can spec it out to your specifications.
What model is the untweaked version of this sig guitar?
Although it was inspired by other brands, you can't really say Tosin Abasi's new prototype is based on a previous Ibanez design. except the headstock. But that body...that guy has some serious design taste.
Show me a Prestige RGA model with a Lo Pro, an ebony board, and a Mahogany body.
haha locking tuners with a locking system alredy in the nut... thats just...... odd.
Bruh
If it doesn't have stainless steel frets, I don't want it.
I wish these famous guitarists would donate me a guitar cuz im poor asf🤣
ibanez produces the best guitars ever...fender and gibson suck...
Amen. Bad luck against Germany btw ;)
+David Luiz there good fenders and... well *cough* some decent gibsons out there too mate.
Dan O'Flaherty 7-0 was a fluke win..
David Luiz Have fun without Zlatan next season
Dan O'Flaherty like theres no di maria..
Why are these so overpriced? It lacks a flame top
+Ben nah, best superstrat design so far,
I'm heavy fan of flame/quilted/exotic grain for tops, especially for superstrats.
But this guitar is destroying my opinion, with that plain matte top.
+Ben These are priced just right dude. You're paying for unparalleled build quality. These are cheaper than any PRS/Jackson of the same quality.
Why are these so overpriced?
Ben Because they're so overpowered
