@@Swullmark I agree with you guys on that one. It was truly a badass underdog story, although it didn't diminish Trips's ROT, but this match for me, clearly it brought out the ups and downs of that period. But still, Triple H did regain the World Heavyweight Championship at Armageddon, not once, but twice, and once at Unforgiven in 2004, right up until Batista dethroned him at WrestleMania 21, it clearly showed that not only the prestige of the World Heavyweight Championship was intact, it made the matches more memorable, other than the horrendous ones (like the No Mercy match, the two squash ones with Scott Steiner and the Eugene side-Storyline).
The funny thing about Santino's Cobra is that it was legitimately a protected move. Bryan was literally the first person that ever kicked out from that move, which helped with the credibility of why people genuinely thought Santino was actually going to win
@@SpiritxEnigma which, if they didn't force him as a babyface, I wouldn't have been mad at. He was a younger talent and had more to gain from ending the streak than Brock did.
Last year’s US title chamber doesn’t get talked about enough. Match was absolute fire. Montez’s first proper showcase as a singles star, Bronson reed dominating and needing 3 people to eliminate him, Theory getting his shit kicked in when he got trapped in the pod, Johnny’s insane hurricanrana off the pod and Logan setting up his mania match with Seth. Awesome storytelling and cool moments.
Elimination Chamber 2019 was the night KofiMania was born. No one expected Kofi Kingston to bring so much fight to Daniel Bryan at the end, he came so close to winning the WWE Championship but he ultimately failed which wanted the fans to see him become the WWE Champion
I remember being in the building in Houston when Kofimania started. After the match, everyone gave him a standing ovation. Before the match started , I never thought about Kofi winning it, but the closer it got to the end of the match.. had me like… let him win!! he was so close.
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned in the comments already or not , but the Edge cash in on Cena was at a PLE/PPV called New Years Revolution at the end of that chamber as Ross mentioned. Just in case anyone was wondering or cared . i believe that was in 2006 if i’m not mistaken.
I was at that elimination chamber in Houston. The reaction Kofi got was unbelievable. I was definitely on the edge of my seat at the end of that match.
Love the video Ross keep up the great work. Just wanted to let you know you are the one that got me back into professional wrestling after 12 years! Watching you and dub last year at maina was so entertaining it made me care again! Much love 🤟
Edge actually cashed in on Cena at New Years Revolution. John Cena did lose the title at Elimination Chamber in a MITB type scenario, but it was to Batista, and Vince just awarded him the title shot because he wanted to screw Cena.
The best elimination chamber, in my opinion, will always be Survivor Series 2002, the build up, the promo package, the theme song Always by Saliva was chef kiss.
I loved Santino😂😂😂 most of us did want him to win when he had that near fall. I’ll never forget that moment lmao Edit: I really wanna see R Truth win a world title before retiring.
So My All Time Favorite Elimination Chamber Match Is The SD Elimination Chamber At No Way Out 08. It Holds A Special Place In My Heart Because It Was The First One I Remember Watching (Even Though I Wasn’t Supposed To Order It And Got A Whooping For It 😂) But Yea And The Ending To That Match Is Top Tier 🔥
The part about Santino is 100% correct, it only works if you find him funny, which is why I want Dominik Mysterio in the chamber match this year, I wanna see him get completely destroyed by everyone, it'd be fun to see KO in it but Dom would be hilarious.
I really miss the old Elimination Chamber design. It actually looked like a terrifying and dangerous place to have a match in. The new design looks almost comical and I can’t take it seriously
Unless if you were booking it, it could be a Storyline attraction to elevate the Mid-card, Tag Team, or World title pictures and the storyline as a whole or a feud enders, like how we've seen the 2002 Survivor Series or SummerSlam 2003, matches on a big PPV/PLE Event. As of now, like how they finally brought the mystique of the Hell in a Cell match as a Feud ender situation back, it should have the mystique with the proper build-up to attract the audience, to get invested into the match and book the right person to win the match to make perfect sense in storyline writing as a whole.
Appearently the main reason they changed to the new design, was because the old one was too dificult to set up in many arenas, also hard to make certain spots (As sen by RVD nearly killing Triple H because he didn't have space to jump)
The best match in wrestlmania history and probably just in history is The undertaker vs Triple H hell in a cell with shawn michaels as special guess refereee I still don't know If I've seen a match better than that 🔥🔥🔥
Responding to your comments regarding the women's tag titles, Ross, I think the problem with the women's division in general is a lack of interesting stories/rivalries. Don't get me wrong, I like what they're doing with Damage CTRL but that's more focused around what's happening with the main title. There's nothing at stake for the Kabuki Warriors. What would fix that is if Bayley and Dakota found a third, rebranded as something else and the Kabuki Warriors just added Iyo. WrestleMania could have a 6-woman tag match; The New Kabuki Warriors vs. New Damage CTRL, winner takes all. Just an idea.
I would’ve given the IIconics the tag titles at Elimination Chamber 2019 since they were the first REAL tag team from NXT (like Katana & Kayden now). I’m not a fan of their gimmick. I find them annoying, especially with the high-pitched Aussie accents but you could’ve used that heat to crown the Boss n’ Hug Connection at WM35 as the REAL pioneers & workhorses of the division.
As for HBK vs. Undertaker: - Their WM25 match was better & one of the greatest matches of all time with a good story. In-ring wise it has to be at least Top 3 for me. - Their WM26 match was great too but the storytelling was better here with Shawn’s desperation & the end of his career. The “Running Up That Hill” promo package telling the story of their rivalry is my favorite wrestling promo package ever. It was great hearing that song again as a cover in Stranger Things 4.
For the first one i would of had Shayna Baszler & Asuka start the match then later on in the match The Riott Squad reunite and they allie with Natalya to gang up on Shayna Baszler & Asuka but it doesnt go well have Shayna Baszler chokes out Natalya while Asuka chokes out Sarah Logan then Shayna Baszler chokes out Ruby Riott while Asuka chokes out Liv Morgan then i would of had Shayna Baslzer & Asuka go back and forth but Shayna Baszler gets the upper hand afte a like 7-Miniute match within a match Shayna Baszler chokes out Asuka for the win
@16:38 during that match for some reason me and my older brother thought that maybe Luke Harper would show up and help Daniel Bryan win but thinking back on it i have no idea how that would of played out like maybe we would of gotten Kofi Kingston Big E & Xavier Woods The New Day vs Erick Rowan Luke Harper & The New Daniel Bryan at Fastlane instead of Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens vs Mustafa Ali & Kofi Kingston vs Sheamus & Cesaro The Bar that 6-Man Tag Team Match could of been so much bigger like make it a ladder match with a WrestleMania contract where if Kofi Kingston won he got Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 but if Team Bryan won The New Day would have to disband then you would be on the edge of your seat hoping The New Day would win
Mid card women's title would be great as well one more reason to help the other laides who need to improve will probably try harder not saying they arent tho....i even want the European title back
I don't think the WWE should get rid of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships nor should they make a midcard Women's Championship. There's enough women tag teams, the problem is they're not putting the right teams on TV. When are Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn gonna be more active? I definitely like Katana Chance & Kayden Carter and from NXT, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson need to progress more... hell if they REALLY wanna make the titles relevant, since Bianca is kinda out of a Mania match and the Kabuki Warriors aren't booked yet, why not have her and JADE CARGILL team up and win them at WrestleMania? That'll put Jade and the belts on a big plateau because other women's tag teams are gonna want to take out Jade and Bianca, plus Jade will be tagging in most of her matches to keep her from looking green until the creative is ready to book her in one on one matches. There's no need to retire the tag titles, though. They just gotta bring much better relevance and seriousness to the women's tag division
The women’s division could strive with one women’s world title, a set of tag titles & a bunch of special tournaments or stipulation matches that create stars feuds or moments. Just like the nxt women’s division from 2021-2023
Without characters like Santino, you end up making every wrestler look like "I'm generic tough guy" or "I'm generic tough guy that's big" or "I'm generic tough guy that's small" that all blends together into a feeling of "The fuck is McIntyre's gimmick? He's Scottish? and a tough guy? Who cares...."
Bayley and Sasha losing those titles a month later at Mania will always be stupid, and to a mid team like the Icconics were, does anyone even remember those two? I can see why they were upset that night before the match and Sasha took a few months leave, she was starting to see the BS, smh

What is yall favorite elimination chamber match 🤔
Personal favorite is the OG Survivor Series 2002 match... beginning of a legendary match
The first one
Can't decide between 2017 (RIP Bray) , 2002 (Birth of the chamber) and 2009 (THAT infamous Edge moment)
Easy when Kurt Angle Went into perc angle mood and the one bray won rip bray
