This, and Pray extended version are opening my third eye..
@@watch-Abricot_Ultime ua-cam.com/video/KlaHAVZ8XNw/v-deo.html this one is close
@@DanishAra When i saw them a few weeks ago they played the outro if that is what you mean
What Mario is doing here is like sound sculpture, like cuting out into this wall of guitars sound, to model it, to give it a sense, a living form. The master of the piece, it's him. I'm not a drummer. Here is, for me, the very sense of drumming. Joe is only letting his feeling yell out, contributing to the basic material.
the link alive version of this song tickles my third eye everytime. i love how they break this song down live, the tribal drumbeat droning while joe makes esoteric chants. i cant wait to see them perform next month
I just recently saw them In Glasgow sadly nothing from this album was played but I cannot complain the set list was god like
3:07 Explode, implode, both at the same time, destruction💥👌
6:30 Joe became whale himself long before he saw flying one
It always reminded me of a whale too at this part!
Well done about the joke ahah
This song blew my ears out at first avenue in Minneapolis. And the way they played it like this was even more crazy.
They are amazing. Their passion about music is the most intense one.
my favorite song of Gojira and they have a lot of bangers, but my god, the tone of the song, lyrics, the instrumentals, i adore it
I never realized how hard that single chord at the end is to play, I just tried playing along to this version and I was waiting for it to end while there was a minute and a half left and my fingers were locking up
Footage of the greatest band playing the greatest song in the universe. Unbelievable blow me away.
3:54 to the end is so trippy
the breakdown at 2:26 with the double kick variation 🤌🏼🤌🏼
It's a spiritual, tribal , intro perspective and metaphorical french movie's soundtrack
Criminally underrated- so thicc. feel like if actually mix gojira and tool- heavy and mind ear-hypnotasing.
I just felt like my soul was floating and somehow intertwined with the music during the second half
That's what extended versions of Gojira's song in live does yup. (Same with Pray and Grind for example)
Such an unforgettable experience !
Still prefer the Link Alive version to this one, but this is still extremely sick, especially given that it's far more recent.
The fact that Joe can still keep up a majority of those growls is awesome, and the trance at the end never, ever gets old. Mario and Jean-Michel are machines.
Oh it's pretty rare! People mostly prefers this one. But yea, the one in The Link Alive is by far the most brutal one. And the more accurate to the actual song in the studio version. I think that The Link Alive in general is the best gojira live ever. That and the Les Enfants Sauvages too, at the Brixon Academy.
I totally agree about Joe being able to do some insane growls after all these years. It's pretty impressive.
Mario and Jean-Michel ☺️
@@watch-Abricot_UltimeI agree but some songs sound better in different performances. For love, the live version off of Terra incognita is better than the link alive. Especially the beginning where he hypes everyone up before the drop
@-l-l3187 Ahah yea this is so cool, if you are speaking about the "HERE WE GOOO !!!" and then it's pure explosion.
😀 i especially love the vocal in the last 4 minutes
Same here. Joe's clean vocals are greater and greater with years.
The POWER HAS SPOKEN
Favorited before the first note. Thanks!
This one, lizard skin and fire is everything are my fave gojira songs
I 100% agree with you about Fire is Everything. Even Lizard Skin. Old Gojira slaps and people tends to forgot that, before From Mars to Sirius, there's two album and, in my humble opinion, The Link is criminally underrated.
@@watch-Abricot_Ultime You are absolutely right, the link is extremely underrated. I would love to hear Death of Me or Embrace the World live again.
Thank you so much for uploading this! Definitely the best live version they did of this song. The outro is out of this world.
I agree! This outro is an absolute killer. So harmonic and heavy in the same time.
This song on this live perfectly represents the Gojira atmosphere.
Gojira the new Pandemic!!!! Damn you guys!!!
Still trying to find tabs of the original 2003 drum section to this day...
@@metalkicker23 There's not ? I'm surprised but, after all, their first two albums are the least listened and liked by people so...
Try to play it with your ears 🤘 I'm sure some covers could help you as well.
Thanks for the upload, this song is a killer trip!
Damn.. this version is so much better then The Link Alive. His voice around 3:50 till the end is so nice. I cant believe this band is so good live. Thanks for this upload!
You're welcome. I was tired to go in the full vid concert to see this incredible version of the song everytime. So I just did that, it's easier for everyone.
And yea I agree this version is waaaaaaaay better than the link alive. That's insane.
@@watch-Abricot_Ultime I think Mario's drumming part is more expressive here than in The Link Alive version, in which Joe's singing is more 'away'. IMO.
hearing on acid, best trip ever
Guys,I saw them Many Times they are the futur big métal band
Same there. I was there in this live, it was incredible.
They're beyond the future st this point!
@@watch-Abricot_Ultime agree bro,saw them in France i even have the mario sdrumstick
The only Explicit song by gojira on spotify
@@watch-Abricot_Ultime There's a swear word in lyrics (F*ck Off). Only one word.
So why is there not a twelve hour version of this?
That could be great ! Doing a loop of the last 4 minutes. Good idea mate, I might do it !
Miss the old Joe the one with long curly hair, this version of him isn't able to represent the old Gojira stuff bc it's more brutal, just a personal preference
It's normal in my opinion. Gojira is evolving, they started at 18. Now they're older and their minds changed with time. As well as Joe's voice !
If you want to see the real old Gojira stuff, you can watch The Link Alive concert ! It's insanely good.
@@watch-Abricot_Ultime yeah I watched and rewatched the link alive like a thousand times but imo the peak brutality is in the Bordeaux live 2009
@@blasteffect19 This and the live at the Vieilles Charues 2010 I agree.
@@blasteffect19 also garorock 2009, it's around the same time as the Bordeaux one and equally as brutal
You can actually see Mario's soul leaving his body. He was definitely being blown away.
Yep. I love when Mario starts to lose his mind on the drums like he did on this song. He's really one of the best drummer actually. He's living with his drum. It's like they're one entity.
