Anyone listening to this video about pop tarts did you ever eat them without toasting them? I did and they were delicious.

My husband came from both cereal families (Post & Kellogg) in Battle Creek, MI.. his grandfather (Moms side) retired with Post and his dad retired with Kellogg’s. My hubby would work the summers throughout college in the Kellogg factory in the production of cereal & pop tarts… Everyday the “reject” pop tarts would be sorted out and hubby would have access to eating the reject pop tarts…he was in his glory!! Many of them right out of the oven; so warm and fresh.

We grew up in a neighborhood where ethnic bakeries were everywhere. Polish and Jewish ones. Both kinds churned out fresh baked treats that made your head want to explode. So we ate the best pastries, coffee cakes, cookies, coconut & chocolate bars, Mandel breads ( like a Polish biscotti), bear claws, macaroons, apple fritters, Babkas, & Strudels. Donuts were never apart of the equation, either. Pop tarts were around, but were too pedestrian and too manufactured, and not nearly as sweet or attractive looking, as fresh baked pastries. We ate pecan laden and maple drizzled & glazed, coffee cakes with our morning cocoa, or chocolate milk,... and later when we were teens, our coffee. I have to agree, I never ate a salad before a dinner meal, until I was 40. I still don't, why would I?

Wonder if the person asking why Steve Martin isn't funny anymore was Dennis Pennis? Paul Kaye played the character, bet he feels bad about it if is still bothering him three decades later.

This should have been Kevin James interview only. I am a fan. The guy is funny, intelligent, and super talented.

I never saw Seinfeld except I remember the first episode was a big deal. The shows sounds made me depressed. Like MASH.

I prefer the comedians who relied more on adlibs and unpredictability. The WW2 era comics were amazing. Some would prepare bad jokes to force them to adlib to recover from. Everything was on edge and exciting. As funny as George Carlin could be, it was still all heavily pre-planned, written, and rehearsed. Didn't have the excitement of Dean Martin or Don Rickles. The adlibs to fix the bad jokes was Johnny Carson. Jack Benny could hardly move without being funny. Most of the comedians and entertainment since the boomers are a bunch of pop tarts. This show is a pop tart.

All 3 of these men are terribly over rated actors and comedians. Next.
