And if you really want to view on with scientific way then you also need to consider about reading Valmiki’s Ramayana because what we have has been modified countless times over the years. So that means there’s no guarantee to believe everything from today’s Valmikis Ramayana. You can literally argue everything from the book lol. And if you want to see it as a mythology then yeah Hanuman was a monkey, Ravan had ten heads and blah blah. It’s up to you.

Authenticity is not the point of Ramayan. The lessons are. Do not make mistake Rama and Hanuman for just people. They are a thought. Their statues are just a mere symbol behind the philosophy and thought of being Ram or being Hanuman. They are standards for Indian. They are icons.

Hey jaby a lot of the scriptures when trying to depict something always used metaphors to showcase their strengths however a lot of the times the metaphoric things became popular instead of the actual meaning behind it so a lot of the times these come across as absurd out of the world beings but they ARE really true beings up with just heightened capabilities

I mean, the Europeans/Columbus was surprised to find tribals/darker people/different language/different people with different school of thought and values, and decided to colonise/kill these "different" people all over the world- North American tribes, South American tribes, Africans, Indians, Aboriginal Australians, etc. Whereas Indians/Hindus/Valmiki of that ancient time not only knew of "people of the forest" or tribals or nomads or wanderers, but also accepted that as a reality of nature, not something to be feared or killed or colonised. I'm assuming all humans began at the hunter/gatherer/forest stage, right? Since people shifted from Sanskrit, and older ancient languages, their understanding of words became limited to only what they know of. For e.g. in hindi they teach vaanar as monkey. And not the one who lived in Forest, which is in Sanskrit. So a person who had no knowledge of Sanskrit will read and translate it to Monkey. That's how the misinterpretation worked. Not because of one's ideas.

There is something more than that. Valmiki Ramayan doesn't even mention Hanuman or Vanaras having Gada. They just use their fists, tree trunks, stones, etc. Will people accept it? I don't think so.
This series is the one of the greatest media pieces on Ramayana, unfortunately religious cults took control of Ramayana and corrupted most the story, Valmiki Ramayana in its core is a Hero's journey, one of the best.
