Great setup! I just got my Triple Play back in my rig..will have to look onto a synth module..I run my Sony wireless into the Fishman FC-1 into my pedalboard so I’m completely wireless and software is on my iPad Pro..thanks for the info!
Hello. Nice setup for a great musician. Even if I understand that a "much simplier" Godin (with imdeded GR mic stuff) guitar + a GR55 or alike might not be as versatile as your pure MIDI system, as you ever considered it ? The benefit might be a much lower assembling & desassembling setup time isn't it ? Thnx
Nick, can you explain 'Hardware mode' for me ? I'm missing the point. Why are you going through the triple play software? At around 4:30 you said 'seperate sound card' Do you mean audio interface ? I'm not being picky, just trying to follow. Do you run your guitar through an amp, or do you play through plugins ?
Hi Alan.Aye, when I say soundcard I do mean audio interface. I'm old and that's what they used to be called. I've never got out of the habit. I go over hardware mode in a video that will be out shortly, but it's in the list where you'd choose your synth in the TP software. I think it's about 3rd or 4th down and it's before the list of synths. There will be yet another video explaining the guitar rig (these things take sooooooo much editing), but aye, I do use an amp. It's the Bluguitar Amp 1 in the video although I'm about to change my rig to use the Quad Cortex (and aye, yet another video). I run the Amp 1 in stereo using a Line 6 HX fx for a wet/dry rig. The synth stuff is run seperately.
@@nickjitsu Thanks mate ! I broke down and read the manual front to back. :/ I get it now. That being said, you are a wealth of information, and an entertaining fellow. I'm enjoying the videos.
So you don’t have the dongle plugged into the laptop directly? I’m new to using the guitar synthesizer, even though the band I play has an amazing keyboardist I am trying to add more to the band along with doing my original music as well.
Helloooo. Aye, it is plugged into the USB extension so the dongle can be near the picjup. I could plug it straight into the laptop and I used to do that, but there isn't enough USB slots on my computers and the pickup/dongle seem suseptible to interference. This leads to hanging notes or cut outs. It might be ok to plug directly into the computer if you are just playing pads and simple things. The crucial part then becomes your foot controller. I occasionally play in a band with a keys player. I do a Hammond organ solo or mooog style solo and he does a guitar solo. Most of the audience don't notice we've switched roles! Hours of fun!

That sounds like a far more sensible setup than mine. Look forward to hearing some of your music!
Great setup demo. Just what I needed! Thnx.
Really interesting video Nick!
