I need a hammock like yours😊 Your videos give me soooo much peace! Thank you for sharing your super chill life! I wish I could live the van life with a best pupper too.
Thank u for the video and thank you for not adding music. I enjoy listening to nature and the sound of ppl walking on nature. Also thank you for showing the sunset without you having to be in the frame
I don't know if you get a chance to read your comments but I had to leave you one in hopes that you may,...😁 You are such a gentle soul. The way you respect everything around you is quite remarkable. You have a kindness that is rare and it shows in the way you honor your four legged companion. You are gifting others a version of what life could be if we could all just, "stop and smell the roses". I believe "YOU" are someone that anyone would love to call a "true friend". Blessings to you on the roads you travel,... wherever they may lead you! ( Oh, by the way, you prepare the most incredible and healthy dishes!)
Thank you 🙏🏼 😊 I try to read all my comments, a times I get overwhelmed with it and I don’t always have the energy to reply but I do usually read them.
I'm so glad you're making these videos. I found you on an episode of vanlife podcast tonight and to come binge your channel. Thank you for diversifying representation of vanlife and being your authentic self. Love it! I am gearing up to get rid of all my stuff and move into a box truck in the lower mainland, but it's not going to be glamourous lol. It's so refreshing and inspiring to see other women doing this. Especially in BC! THANK YOU!!!
I love the shot at 11:08. it really just summed up the channel in picture form imo: Finding a beautiful, quiet corner to enjoy nature and Earth's bounty in all forms.
Amanda, you are so intune with nature. Beautiful scenic photography. Love Frank's dedication to you. He's a lovely soul. I can picture you with your own bit of land living in a yurt. Enjoy your adventures. I'm subscribing from UK.
Hi Amanda love your videos and Frank I follow you and four other van lifers from Canada love your channel I would love to visit Canada one day British Columbia it is definitely beautiful keep the videos coming have a great day 🙂
23:20 Amanda I HAD to screenshot that! What a sweet moment❤️❤️❤️ I don’t cook anymore and watching you cook all those healthy veggie stir fry’s makes me so hungry and I can almost smell the flavors listening to the sizzle. I hope the journey is restorative and Yes a big. heart squeeze to drop back into solo mode after such a lovely together time. Frank is a lucky dog and both of you so sweet. Thank you for sharing all of this with us. I truly enjoy every minute, even the overwhelming desire to give you a big hug at the end when it seemed you were holding back emotions…. My mom self just wanted to wipe away those contained tears and say let’s go get ice cream or something. Hugs 🤗
Hi Amanda, I very much enjoyed your video! Thank you for posting! I love your photography! I really like that you don't feel the need to fill up the quiet spaces with music. We can better enjoy the sizzle of your cooking, the rush of the water, and the quiet of you and Frank sitting in the hammock. Very peaceful. I am sorry you are missing Troy! Take care and have a good week!
Lovely video. Frank is so adorable. Growing up my brother and I would travel miles down the beach running on the driftwood, playing the beach is lava and I still love it today.
I love your videos so much. Its the perfect blend of beautiful scenery, cooking, commentary and FRANK!!! About your sadness, maybe your heart is telling you its time to spend more time in town with Troy and less time on the road. I hope you find a compromise that makes you happy, I hate to see you sad.
This was only a few days after parting with him 😆 Its gotten easier, but just taking it a day at a time for now. Being in town too long like I was is really unhealthy for me which is why I’ve ended up living this way but we’re in it for the long game so who knows what may change in the future for us both.
Yes and just the right length. I come in stressed and by half way through I feel the weight of the world drop and by the end smiling and thankful. The sounds are delightful.
Ya it took me several reviews at slow sleep to spot the movement people noticed and there is a trail there so it’s people but very impressed so many people noticed so easily.
Nice to see your travels to gulf island beaches. Frank is your good buddy. I didn't think you'd get him into that hammock but you did. Good meals you cooked as well. Well done.
I’m sometimes surprised at how I can simultaneously need/cherish my deep alone time while also miss the (sometimes) chaos of being around friends and family. It looks like you chose a beautiful spot to lean into being alone again. Frank’s pretty good company, too. ❤️
First video. Just found you on Forrests channel in his interview with you. It's 5:55 am here in the UP of Michigan , I'm 75, and I haven't gone to bed yet. Loved that video, so not only subscribed to his youtube, but also clicked on your youtube. Clocks and deadlines don't work for me:) Thanks for including periods of silence on beautiful sunset walks with Frank. Yes, I would have taken an axe to the carbon monoxide detector too.
I love watching you make food. Always looks so healthy and yummy! And I'm so impressed with your foraging skills! Then, there's Frank! You two melt my heart!
We all do when he’s on his best, but what’s isn’t seen is the years of him being a monster and the dedication it took for him to grow into a good dog. He was really a handful and quite reactive when he was young.
Hi Amanda&Frank, it's always a joy to watch your videos, those sun sets are so incredibly beautiful! I love to see what your cooking, always looks so yummy, plus you give me some good ideas of what to cook for a change. Take good care both.. 😊
AWWWWW!!! The image from behind Frank, as he’s looking at the scene from the hammock (looking at the back of his head, one ear up and one ear down) would be an EXCELLENT sticker!! And it’s a frame-able image, to boot!!
It's been several years ago, all tho it seems like yesterday, that I spent some time in BC sea kayaking. I absolutely loved paddling the Broken Islands. When I watch the scenery and beauty captured in your video's I am enamored. It reminds me of paddling to the islands, camping, winding down, walking the beaches rain or shine, collecting shells & making a 'hanging thing' from fishing line & shells. What a magical place it is! I'm reliving those wonderful memories as I watch. Your video's are outstanding and I too prefer the natural sounds the camera picks up without music. I enjoy watching your adventures and would love to learn more about how you cook! As I would like to cook from mostly staples whether I am at home or abroad. A new sub from North Idaho.
Been watching you for about a week. I've fallen in love with sweet Frank and you are just lovely and genuine and quick to laugh, which I love in a person. I'm like that too, a gift from my dearly departed father. I just saw your episodes where you struggled with Frank's surgery and your van. Much love to you guys. Getting through those hard times is a challenge, but it sure makes us grateful when things go right again. Best to you and Frank! -Hollie
with Frank being an older dog maybe try to get a rubber mat on the outside of the van so his arthritic little elbow doesn't hurt so much, he is sure a wonderfully loved and happy boy but older pups as I have an almost eleven year old that is getting arthritic and we put a dog bed at end of bed for her to jump down on to help her it does seem to ease it a bit; just saying as i am a huge dog lover and just found your channel in last few days
In the summer I have a thick carpet but the van is getting pretty tall for him so I will work on a solution. His medications are all helping a lot but I know more help is better than less. Thanks for looking out for him
@@tidelinetoalpine even if you can find a scrap piece of shaggy carpet about two feet by four it would soften the drop for him a lot and it can be cheaper to find lol
Just found your channel. Thank you for real sounds of nature and all of those beautiful sunsets. You are a genuinely beautiful and down to earth person, and Frank😍, what can I say!
Have you considered creating a ramp for Frank? I notice he seems to be having quite a bit of trouble getting out of the van. I have one I used for my previous dog and it was brilliant!! Really saved her pain on the jump out of my vehicle. I wouldn’t get the same kind (it was a hand me down), cuz it’s too heavy, but I think it would be super easy to make one.
Now I'm hungry. Is that the place you camped on the beach with Frank last Spring? You seem to be finding your own rhythm again, a lot of big changes for you the last few months. Go with your flow....you'll find your balance....you always do. Thanks for taking us along. ☮🐾💜
Wow. This was an awesome video. My favorite moment was Frank getting up in hammock with you, second was you rolling Frank to get space on blanket at beach. Your food ,especially the bread looked so so good. Frank behind the tree stump was so precious. I noticed you were quiet. Im really hated to hear in the end how you were sad and missing Troy. It will make your time together so much sweeter. Im sure it will take alot to get used to. You two will figure it out together.❤ Atleast being nomadic gives you options. Hope your heart gets filled up when you see Troy. In the mean time give Frank lots of kisses.
Nice flaming sunsets...B.C. is headed for spring and here in Ontario we are very much stuck in winter. May have to come visit my brother in Vancouver soon to get a jumpstart on spring. Frank is such a faithful companion...you are blessed to have him. Safe travels Amanda
Just found you and subscribed. I've shared you with my grandson who is looking to buy a van. He has nothing and is homeless. I hope he gets inspired by you. I love Frank. You are both adorable. 🥰
First time viewer here. Loved the video. I have a sixteen year old dog. Hard to see them get old. He's on arthritis meds now, it helps a lot. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place.
Hi Amanda & Frank. I love your videos. When you were cooking and dicing your veggies, I really tried to figure out what they were but probably failed miserably. When you're cooking or getting your cuttings from the forest floor, could you tell us what you're cutting and why?
Just found your channel this evening. So glad I did. Love your simplicity and look on life. Just ordered your sticker, I can't wait to add it to my small collection of Vanlife UA-camrs I fallow. I sure will get your other two stickers once I can. Thank you for sharing your journey 🤗🤗 at the moment I can only get out there part time myself so for my mental health it's been really helpful and healing to fallow a few UA-camrs. Getting Frank on the hammock was so sweet. You two are the cutest thing.
Eucalyptus oil diluted and dabbled on irritated skin helps the inflammation. I use it for my rosacea. I'm not an expert but it does the trick for me.
Frank!!! 😎
Loved the whole video, but the hammock scene with Frank was priceless. He is such a sweetheart! 💕

Nearly all of your videos contain the daily recommended amount of deliciousness. :) every time you cook, I wish I had smell-o -vision. :)
Sometimes it’s better off you don’t have smell-o-vision.... there’s a reason he has the nickname ‘Rank Frank’ 😝
There is nothing in this world as pure as the love from a dog..💜

Frank is so loyal to you! It's the sweetest!
