I've tied a similar fly for years with grey CDC wings. Do you fish it as a dry or in the surface film. Are the trout actually rising or are you using it a a searching fly. We don't seem to have ant hatches here. I fish them close to the banks under trees and bushes.

The west Branch of the Delaware has a great hatch. The fish are rising for them and this fly tends to be in the film, except the wing.
