Thank you so much for watching today’s video, I have been having these thoughts for a while and I decided to put this out there. I might be wrong or I might be onto something, what do you think?
I’ve been natural what will be 10 years this year. My hair has been a major source of growth and I quickly learned it’s a lifestyle to be natural because it is time consuming. I love her and she FINALLY loves me lol. We are about a year or so until hip length and I’m blessed for it
Interesting perspective. And I think it’s okay to try out new things if that is what a black woman will prefer. But, for me personally, I leave my hair alone. I wash and condition on a schedule/routine basis and then I band my hair and wear my hijab. There’s so many things for me to do or find to do that doesn’t require me messing with my hair just out of boredom. For me, there’s a limit, but to each their own.
Thanks for your comment, do you think being an hijabi makes it easier because you don’t have to really focus too much on your hair when you’re out and about?
I think it all happens in cycles. The Natural movement will rise again when those who have relaxed and damaged their hair want to go back to having natural healthy hair.
I actually think so also but I just feel that it’s due to the narrative coming back that natural hair is hard. And another reason is because we all influenced by what we see😩
The influence is intense especially with social media, we now have access to people from around the world. One has to be sure of themselves and what they want else you’ll be carried away.
I'm natural for life, but I totally understand wanting to switch it up. I've been having fun straightening it here and there recently. 😊 Also, if you go ALL the way back to like 1910, the preference for straight vs curly styles seems to swing back and forth every 10-15 years or so. 🤔

Yes, your hair reciprocates whatever you give to it. 💯🤎
