events since October 7th shows that we have not done enough since the song came out to heed its warning and join enough in its prayer. We have to call people even more to turn to the God of the Bible. Yes dark powers have already flooded "our streets with hate and fear" but the LORD's promises are always true and Britain has been called by His name as a Christian country so 2 Chronicles 7:14 can still bring us healing and people like Farage and Tommy Robinson and rev, Calvin Robertson might still be used of God to change Britain. I'm sorry I am from the UK and answered for my own country I don't know where you are but if you're in the USA people are waking up to the mess Biden (and behind him the Obamas and Clintons etc) have got the whole world into. And elsewhere in Europe, we hope that pro freedom pro REAL democracy people will begin to take back control from all those spreading hate and fear: the WOKE in general, the Marxists who are showing their true colours by backing the Islamists even when the Islamist's are waving swastikas and praising Hitler, and the Islamists themselves who want to subjugate the rest o the world to their awful totalitarian ideology and the globalists of the UN and the billionaires hiding behind one false face after another ie behind the trusts that are behind the IMF and World Bank behind the WEF behind much else of the UN's one world tyrannical control agenda. We have to trust in the LORD and also put in the spadework. As under Nehemiah they needed the sword and the trowel - they needed to be actively watching and ready to fight the enemy and then building back the walls and gates of Jerusalem. We have to trust and pray for the LORD to change things, and at the same time be warning people and calling them to turn back to God, and warning of the threats we already see to our lives and freedoms. We need to be praying for any Esthers and Mordecais already in places of influence, and praying for more labourers in every field. Our enemies have been very strategic in capturing one field after another - taking education and journalism first and then through education to other fields to capture entertainment, law and business. We need to pray for the LORD's people to regain control over each of these fields. We need to remind people of the lies of the enemies (as well as the real enemy behind them) And we need to preach salvation for those who will listen and hear and pray for the work of the Holy Spirit to convict the world of their sin, of judgements that are coming (more judgements are coming before the final judgement - the LORD will not just let people go to hell in their sin without warnings first) and pray that they will all be convicted that they need righteousness and it is only available through the sacrifice of Jesus. God bless you and may God have mercy on all this generation. In Jesus's name. Amen.
This moves me to tears whenever I hear it. So relevant now at a time when tornados of war as well as weather are raging across the world. Dear Lord help us all, forgive us all
Amazing...how timely . Lord forgive us.🙏 Cleanse us from unrighteousness. Send us Your power oh Lord. Show us Your way . We need You Lord. HAVE MERCY LORD.💒 MAY LOVE REIGNS IN OUR HEARTS.❤️
Thanks for 'Thorns In The Straw' too, While I sang a short solo at Carol Service , not a trace of virus! I must. have had it weeks, went back to work. It eventually stopped. Oh so I heard the shofar one night in home bible study. I felt like a little child. Nearly 70 now ❤
Such a visionary sing from Graham. It moves me so much when I hear it. So true on this day when war is being waged on a small nation by a far larger one, when a new budget ignores the need of the poorest of our nation, when youngsters are being killed at the school gates. Lord have mercy on us all.
Beautiful song. Where is our national day of prayer for Britain. When will we repent as a nation. We have worshipped God for centuries. May we return to him. Forgive us Lord 2020. Amen
I remember this prayer song of Graham Kendrick back in 1987. Scripture tells us clearly that we are in the age of the great apostasy now in these last days and among many of them that call themselves Christian churches but are not. Especially the U.S. where 80% of churchgoers there in a recent survey say they do not believe the bible is the inerrant word of God. This strongly suggest the world is becoming more and more Godless and here in the west we see resistance to the Gospel not only by the youth of today but also governments and society where it has become more friendly to the abominations of degenerate people. No, the church today needs to remain strong in the face of adversity and trust the word of God the bible until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church.
Injustice, war and poverty abound in our world while other have too much. The church appears unable to make any difference. Our large churches often love praise and worship and concentrate on how we feel and our personal relationship with God. I wonder how Jesus's death on the cross helps this situation. How we as God's children can make a difference. I have done some relief and disaster work and support a little remote community but it is a drop in the ocean. As I get older it is even more difficult to make a difference. I have seem the words of this song in action and long to see God working.
Noreen we must never lose that depth of prayer and worship - relationship with God (or we become humanists - depending on self - which is a dead end) - it's not either/or. I can sense your disappointment - I have shared it - but been brought back to my first love whilst knowing (having learned) not to over spiritualise and knowing how we need to make concrete our faith in this world, in human lives.
It is enough for God to have stirred you as an individual, your actions inspire others. If someone tamps down God's inspiration, the Spirit's nudge then this has both an individual and collective effect. Be encouraged. Pray. Act as God moves you!
I doubt you'll hear this one sung in a CofE church! They seem to be hellbent on rewriting God as a woke social activist who asks for nothing and loves without the need for repentance or belief in Jesus.
Praise be to God leading me to this powerful song...I heard in a youth camp just this yr ❤❤🙏🏻
This song is so relevant in 2024. All the wars that are happening and the children that are dying, surely the wings of the dove of peace are broken
Such a prophetic song. May the church truly awaken. Bible prophesy is being fulfilled as we watch the events in Israel. Have mercy Lord
This song is all the more relevant in October 2023. Have Mercy Lord

More relevant today, than it has ever been, with all that is happening in the world in 2020.
I was brought to this song by David Pawson. Bless him. He must be enjoying eternity in God's presence
Even more so in 2022. Forgive us Lord bring us to true repentance have mercy on us Father.
I have learnt so much from David Pawson. He was an awesome man of God. Hosea brought me here too.
My absolute authority and beloved teacher of Old Testament........open the doors of Paradise to your faithful servant David......
So appropriate today in 2022. Sitting and watching the news from the comfort of my home, and despairing of there every being peace.
Wow!! this song makes me have the sight of God's greatness.
who remembers spring harvest?
I do from the 90s
1988, we were at Skegnness and remember Graham Kendrick leading us with this song.Yesterday we were reminded of how poignant this song is.
Such a visionary sing from Graham. It moves me so much when I hear it. So true on this day when war is being waged on a small nation by a far larger one, when a new budget ignores the need of the poorest of our nation, when youngsters are being killed at the school gates. Lord have mercy on us all.
