"Chena Surer Anangonay" is a series of short talks on music. The series discusses certain observations, impressions and reflections on a song in each episode. Episode 4 features a conversation with the man who's lines were borrowed as the title of this series, Sri Nirmalya Bhattacharya. He has been a student of Bengali music since an early age. He has recorded recorded an album of Rabindrasangeet and is still a passionate singer. However he doesn't show off his singing potentials publicly very often. He continues to nurture his interest and aptitude as he is now among the most promising lyricists in contemporary Bengali songs. Sri Nirmalya Bhattacharya's journey as a student of Bengali songs has been guided by very eminent and illustrious gurus. In this conversation, he picks a song written by one of his mentors, Jatileswar Mukhopadhyay. This song was composed by Ashok Roy. It is a rarely sung masterpiece, "Tomakei bolte pari...". Nirmalya takes us through his experience of learning the song from Jatileswar himself, and his realizations and reflections on it. Such conversations tend to become long... if not unending. So we divide the fourth episode of "Chena Surer Anangonay" into two. This one is the first.

কালজয়ী এই স্মরণীয় গান টি বাংলা গানের স্বর্ণযুগের সপ্তরথী শিল্পীদের এক অন্যতম কিংবদন্তি শিল্পী মানবেন্দ্র মুখার্জি মহাশয়ের গাওয়ার কথা ছিল। কিন্তু দূর্ভাগ্য সত্য যে, গান টি রেকর্ড করার আগেই প্রিয় শিল্পী কিংবদন্তি মানবেন্দ্র মুখার্জি আমাদের ছেড়ে অনন্তলোকে পাড়ি জমিয়েছিলেন।
পরবর্তীতে সেই গান টি বাংলা গানের কিংবদন্তি শিল্পী জটিলেশ্বর মুখার্জি গেয়েছিলেন এবং শ্রোতা মহলে সমাদৃত হয়েছিলেন।
ভারতীয় বাংলা সঙ্গীতের প্রবাদপ্রতিম শিল্পী কিংবদন্তি মানবেন্দ্র মুখার্জি এবং কিংবদন্তি জটিলেশ্বর মুখার্জি এর অমর স্মৃতির প্রতি বিনম্র চিত্তে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি ও শতকোটি প্রনাম।❤️🙏

স্নিগ্ধদেব এখানে আপনি বললেন নচিকেতার কন্ঠে প্রাণের রাধার কোন ঠিকানা' গানটি আপনি প্রথম শোনেন। আমার যতদূর মনে পড়ছে এক জায়গায় আপনি বলেছিলেন চেন্নাই প্রবাসী কোন এক কাকুর কাছে গানটির বিষয়ে জানতে পারেন। যাইহোক বাংলা গান নিয়ে আপনার সৎ প্রচেষ্টা খুবই প্রশংসা যোগ্য।
