Hey Brother my issue is that i lost my tv stick remote bought a new one, before buying stick was working properly but once i started it after a month to connect the new remote , my mi stick boots properly but then shows a random colour instead of home screen i cannot even go to boot menu, is there any way of how can i go to the boot menu without the remote and then pair the remote and reset it. please help me as im very worried.

I've got the loop issue. After hard reset and even cache memory wipe, it's still the same. Update: I figured out, that if the wifi signal is poor, the stick somehow turns into that loop. That is strange of course, but it does. If the signal is good and stable, it starts normal. I also tried a Google Chrome cast tv stick on the poor wifi signal. It turns out that even this stick would not connect. It not as this loop issue of course, but it was for me a theory that a poor wifi signal has effect on the MI TV Stick

I don't understand the significance of wifi signal strength after a hard reset?! It has no connection at that time, no isnatallation is done, it has no interaction with internet at that moment. I think it is irrevelant.

No, it did not. I had the issue on Samsung TV from 2015 and solution was to use different HDMI port.
No more issues have been met since then.
Lowkey disappointed with mi stick, pretty laggy resets randomly, im returning it and getting a fire stick or roku instead

After following all the videos on how to prevent sudden restart of Mi stick (from overheating to not enough power to wrong cables), none of them helped, so I decided to do trouble shooting myself, and finally reached a solution, and it was very simple: simply adjust the date and time on your device manually, and if you are using VPN, use VPN location date and time and NOT your geographical location date and time. push power for 3 seconds and ok to restart the device, and you're all set........you're welcome.

Hi i got mi stick 4k …this method didn’t worked for me . Actually i click on system update after download update it needed restart so i click on it but after startup logo screen goes blank or no signal ,,,,there is no boot loop or anything just blank . Is there any other solution please?

I ere booted the stick but I chose the first option now it's showing me two thumbs and a remote but when I follow it doesn't work

El problema es que el aparato es muy sensible y la alimentacion de los USB de, en este caso y en el mio, de Samsung no es suficiente. La unica solucion es encontrar el cargador que lo haga funcionar bien, yo encontre un Xiaomi y me agarro. NO FORMATEEN, ALIMENTEN EL STICK CON UN CARGADOR, Y NO AL USB DEL TELE, PRUEBEN VARIOS CARGADORES HASTA QUE AGARRE.

@matias capella lo probe en dos teles y hace el loop, probé cargadores distintos, después lo puse en la pantalla de la PC y anda al 100, los tele son jvc y Samsung ambos Smart, pero listo mañana voy a devolverlo, por ahí entraba y no andaba el control y así, probé 700 cargadores, es una poronga que en aduana nos quiten el cargador original por algo los técnicos fabrican eso a medida

Same here, it continues to restart all the time. My device is brand new and I am unable to reach the select Language, select Region and continue to setting up the wifi connection.
It just restarts again and again showing only the Grey logo screen and the Android balls then Androidtv logo then it just restarts again at the Grey logo screen and repeats only these three screens.
Tired the factory reset
Tried the clear cache
Done the graphic test and
Rebooted system
Still only repeating the 3 screens mentioned above. 😞

For me the result became even worse. The Mi stick falls in endless reboot loop with no possibility to enter in to the settings. Some times it turns off by it self

I figured it out. Just unplugged all the wires from your tv and plug it again. Plug the TV's wire to the another board or plug. Your tv is not getting enough power supply that's why it happened.

Huh... Why I should buy a product which needs such a care... It is not compatible with some TVs, such is LG - keeps restarting, when I stick it to the old Panasonic it works. It got stuck in some weird mode, new adaptor did not help, factory reset did not help. It is a piece of crap.
