Truthfully, I didn't expect much from Blue Archive. I know the songs were good. And it also had a decent character art. But, I still thought of it as a "Normal Gacha Games" at home. All I want to do is just, "Oh, cute anime girls. Let's try them." Nothing less, nothing more. But, after playing it for a year and a half, I knew I was wrong. Not only fighting for Abydos debt. Not only freeing the game club from their slump. Not only freeing Trinity and Arius from their downfall. But so much more. Spending your time in the event as you met them for the first time. Knowing them much better as a person or individual, not only for getting closer, but also making them as a better version of themselves... It makes me kinda... happy. Spending time with Serika on the swing by the sunset. Watching the night sky with Hibiki. The aquarium with Hoshino. The beach with Izuna. The soft side of Hina. Waiting the rain with Hasumi. Dinner with Tsurugi. Or giving help to the troublesome students like Saori and her Black Market deals. It all felt... great. Not only for those lovey-dovey moments. But I sense that me, myself, were getting to know the character better. Not only as a sensei, but also the person I am in the real world. That's why, when the final volume was out... I was shocked. To know and acknowledge that a different world and different destiny of our students exist, but not for the better. To know that our presence and existence worth something for those we guide and accompany along the way. They made us feel relieved to make the correct choices and made us crave a happier ending for everyone. I always love bad endings. Since they were more realistic, relatable, and much more impactful from a normal happy end. But this game made me cried for numerous times. Not because some twisted tragic tales, but a genuine kindness from one another and how much I appreciate and cherish those moments. Well, you can say I'm just another weeb that felt something from png files and you are right. But those .png files really makes me improve myself. I'm starting to talk alot more with my loved ones in real life. I started my workout and improve a better mental health. And hell, I've even become a real teacher for high school students now, despite being 19 years old. In short: I was wrong, and I'm happy about it. Thank you Blue archive, for changing my life. And there is only one appropriate word for Blue Archive for me, and nothing will changed it forever: Cunny. Period. (Btw quilt, Your arrangements always draw the true potential of the song. You're a hardworker, but also talented. I'm proud to be your subscriber. GO AND KEEP RELEASING BANGERS QUILT, I LOVE YOU!!)
BA is lighter compared to things like Arknights story-vise, but it doesnt mean itll go down that easily as a "haha goofy girls with guns" gacha game. no, id say BA has one of the most impressive storywriting crews out there. from story, to events, how those events intervene between our own things we do in Kivotos...and how the timeline actually matters. theres always some moments where we reflect. what couldve gone wrong, what did go for the best. Chapter Finale is the perfect encapture of this. and your comment is the testament. they were right - and *you* were right, along with them. PNGs or not, theres still humans who miraculously craft the whole thing. all those personalities. what they do. to an extent, you are just paying honor to them. i mean, hell - go make an email to the BA crew and tell this tale. im sure theyll be proud of you, haha!
