The guy who played Don Berna was *incredible* in his accurate portrayal. He not only looks like him, and talks and sounds like him, but he WALKS just like him. When I first watched Narcos, I was wondering why the actor kind of had a funny hitch in his step all the time. Then I saw video footage from a documentary of the real Don Berna and his walking gait was identical. The actor wasn't just limping to limp either, it was the same motion. Really impressive
It looks like as if they went back in time and shot with the real criminals and gave us a show. I mean the makeup artists deserve a hats off for their work and how they managed to make the actors look just like their character that they were playing. One of the best shows on Netflix.

Narcos version of Escobar is even more like Escobar than Escobar. 5’11” with a deep voice, not 5’6” with a soft voice. The intimidation is so much stronger in the show.

They don't do it like that. They go through profiles of registered aspiring actors, and of people that have acted on TV commercials and even porno videos, and of course normal TV and cinema. If you want to be a registered actor you can just walk to a casting agency and tell them to register and they will gladly do it.
The actor that played Pablo, is Wagner Moura, he is a very famous actor in Brazil for his police movies, this was actually his first time playing a criminal xd

Some major differences between Narcos and Pablo Escobar: El Patron Del Mal are as follows: Narcos(seasons 1 & 2) only focused on Pablo Escobar's life as a druglord and the series was told from the perspective of Steve Murphy and Javier Pena who were the two American DEA agents who brought Pablo Escobar down. El Patron Del Mal was more biographical on Pablo's life ranging from his childhood, twenties, and his years as a druglord. And that series also had four subplots on four particular victims of Pablo too. Narcos still used the real names of the associates and family members while El Patron Del Mal changed the names but still had the actors look like the people that they were portraying. The production of Narcos was too "Americanized" with a cast that was too international(actors of various Latin American nationalities other than Colombian). But El Patron Del Mal was strictly a Colombian production(cast and crew). So if I had to choose a series to watch about Pablo Escobar, I would definitely choose Pablo Escobar: El Patron Del Mal over Narcos(seasons 1 & 2).

Some major differences between Narcos and Pablo Escobar: El Patron Del Mal are as follows:
Narcos(seasons 1 & 2) only focused on Pablo Escobar's life as a druglord and the series was told from the perspective of Steve Murphy and Javier Pena who were the two American DEA agents who brought Pablo Escobar down. El Patron Del Mal was more biographical on Pablo's life ranging from his childhood, twenties, and his years as a druglord. And that series also had four subplots on four particular victims of Pablo too. Narcos still used the real names of the associates and family members while El Patron Del Mal changed the names but still had the actors look like the people that they were portraying. The production of Narcos was too "Americanized" with a cast that was too international(actors of various Latin American nationalities other than Colombian). But El Patron Del Mal was strictly a Colombian production(cast and crew). So if I had to choose a series to watch about Pablo Escobar, I would definitely choose Pablo Escobar: El Patron Del Mal over Narcos(seasons 1 & 2).
