OMG, the passing from Steaua, very much modern-like, similar too Barcelona from the Guardiola era. No wonder Steaua won a Champions European Cup in '86, won the Supercup in '87, played a Champions European Cup semi-final in '88 and reached the final again in 1989.
I was 11 years old when we played Steaua Bucharest i thought we would win the game as I didn't no much about them. I could not believe how good they where that day some team so many good players
Remember watching these games and thinking there was no crowd... Until a goal went in and you realise what you thought was an empty stand is actually full of ARMY lads dressed in army green uniform!!!!! 😂
Steaua was the Army's team, hence all the soldiers and officers. And, yeah, it was very much like North Korea that those days but man, Steaua played some football!
North Korea, China, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia Herțegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia) ,Albania, Czechoslovakia, Cuba all communist countries!
