I remember these radio shows. When i was young i put together a radio from several junk radios people left behind in garages and attucs to get my own radio. We always had to go to bed early so i listened to my radio down low way later than i should have.
Down these mean streets a man must go who is not himself mean, who is neither tarnished nor afraid...He is the hero, he is everything. He must be a complete man and a common man and yet an unusual man. He must be, to use a rather weathered phrase, a man of honor, by instinct, by inevitability, without thought of it, and certainly without saying it. He must be the best man in his world and a good enough man for any world Raymond Chandler

Mom went to bed with her radio playing these old time entertainers. Now I enjoy listening at bedtime too. Nostalgic

Imagine how good this would be without whinging over ads‼️😁
For me Bogart, and Gerald Moore are my Phillip Marlowe
Commercials necessary so our favorite stars could make a living. They weren’t all millionaires in those days 😊😇😉
