It looks good, its actually great lighting for a "movie where everyone disappears" film review, no clue why, its just goes well. Love these types of movies too, got a soft spot for The Langoliers.
Me and my wife just got done watching this the other day. I found it at a Dollar Tree. We actually liked it it was pretty good. I wouldn't pay no more than a dollar for it like I did but it was a cool watch after smoking a joint😂. I think it was the shadows that I liked the most.
Considering the good movies Brad Anderson has done… this was a big let down. The shadow behavior is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes you’re just blipped out when a shadow simply falls on you… other times the shadow is living and reaches out to you while you’re supposedly ‘safely’ in light. Sometimes the entity can control electricity and other times it can’t. Anderson used a good scare in Session 9 to a much lesser effect in this movie (lighted corridor turning off). It got to the point where there seemed to be no reason to figure it out…. Because I started to doubt that the director even knew what he was doing with the general concept.s
Just got finished watching this. Big ole L for this movie. Like how’s girl gonna show up with all those glow sticks and none of them work except one? Also what was the point of Hayden’s character collecting all those batteries if he’s not going to use them to keep his flashlights on? Also also, they didn’t think to start a big fire in the street? Like there’s so much clothes just chillin outside. There’s too much that’s wrong with this film really takes you out of it when you watch it.
Yes! There is so much confusing behavior with the plot device. It was a muddled ness that stuck me as Anderson just trying things out but having little idea on how to bring it together in any meaningful way
Brad Anderson peaked early as a filmmaker. Session 9, The Machinist, & Sounds Like are great. I like his work on The Wire and The Shield. Transsiberian was okay. Vanishing and The Call are terrible though. Hopefully he'll do something cool again. The amber/yellow lighting is interesting.
next stop wonderland and happy accidents were great too, i think then he started working with bigger stars and budget moment of studio interference happened
I don't know shit about lighting, so I really can't say, but I think it looks good.. Lighting looks softer and more natural than usual, and colors seem truer. Maybe a tiny bit dim? but I like how the colors look.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think you said in one of your videos that the 2010s to you is the best (or your personal fav) decade of horror? I would love to hear your take on it as most people point towards the 80s for being the best decade of horror, I haven’t come across many people who think the 2010s is the best and when I think of good horror movies I almost always think of the 80s and late 70s horror movies.
It just goes to show you that you could have a great director but at the end of the day of the script sucks the film will ultimately suck. At least the writer went on to write The Shallows after this film.
This movie not only intruiges me but terrifies me. It makes you wonder about nature. How dangerous is nature on earth, in the past. What I'd native American spirits are real creatures. What if that's where those people went

Looove the langoliers too

I’m glad you found enjoyment in it
The lighting is nice. It being darker fits the reviews well
Your recent videos look excellent with the lighting and backdrop.
Luke does mention that he and his wife are separated. She lives in Chicago. She chose her job and he chose his.
One of my personal favorite where is everybody movies is the film After (2012). I highly highly recommend I really enjoyed it.

The lighting is great. I should consider doing the same for my videos as well.
This movie sucked balls. No explanation for anything. The writer should be banished from the industry.

Agreed

The amber/yellow lighting is interesting.
He’s directed a episode of DC’s Peacemaker recently

@@halo2something Happy Accident is great! Forgot that that was him.

The new one is much better. This is too yellow
they needed to have an actual ending to the movie
One of the most boring movies I've seen in quite a while. Good review
💯

Actually most of my friends believe the 2010s is the best overall as well. I should make a video on it. Good idea.
The best horror films, in my opinion, are from early, mid & late 2000s. Also 2010s.
i prefer lighter lightning tbh
I've only seen this film once and I thought it was boring at the time, I need to give it another watch but nice job on the video Jason!
I really like this movie, it’s the eerie feeling that I liked about this movie
camera looks really good in my opinion!!!
No more ANAKIN HATE!
I enjoyed the review even though I doubt I’ll watch it. I love Session 9 too.
I'm going to have to go check out section 9 again also I haven't watch that in years. I actually thought it was pretty good the first time
Nice shirt. 😎🤘
I remember the characters being extremely dumb. But it had potential to be good
Agreed
The colors are good but the scene is just too dark. Also the shelves in the background aren't stright which is a bit distracting.
Yeah, the wood I bought wasn’t straight. Super annoying
I guess I'll give session 9 a 2nd viewing since I fell asleep halfway through. I guess all the good stuff happens in the 2nd half.
The little girl at the end of the film was adorable but that’s about it. It’s a meh/average flick
Very

Yeah I don’t like this film much either, and it’s a shame, cause that’s coming from a big Hayden C fan like me.
😢
👍
We want a review on the movie not on the characters.
The characters make the film.

Umm..lighting is a little dim and you're looking oompa loompa-ey. Thx 4 reviewing!
Check out the new one
I liked session 9 much better
Muuuuuuuch

This is a silly movie that fails to be consistent in any meaningful way
@@carolinafine8050 most movies are, I still liked it. If you didn't like it you shouldn't have watched it ig. Sorry bro
