Ok, so let’s just analyze his first comments regarding anger. Didn’t God demonstrate anger towards the nation of Israel as they walked away from Him over and over again? It is true that grace and forgiveness were always available for those who repented, but the Bible clearly indicates that He was angry, and justifiably. So is it fair for God to expect us to demonstrate more self control that even He was able to manage, or is it quite possible that righteous anger is justified. Is it possible that the anger described here is that which we experience in our humanness, in our jealousy of others, in our worldly desires. Another thing to consider is that God made us in His image. I do not have a complete answer to this issue, it I don’t think this pastor does either. I know who does have a complete answer, the Holy Spirit and the way we acquire His Wisdom is through seeking, praying, worshiping (in all its forms), and reading the Word of God in its entirety.
