There's a color invert mode if I remember correctly that's different on the 3rd gen vs the 2nd. My buddy used to show me his when we jailbroke them back in high school. Coolest days I miss them.

The only legal way is to buy songs off iTunes, but in case Apple discontinued the itunes store at some point, there are several free ways to get music, but they are not very legal. Once you get your music if you bought it on iTunes you can sync the ipod by plugging it in but if you got music from another source in iTunes you will have to press file and then add to library and then you can sync the ipod.
