I'm 19 years old, im a married man with a child on the way, yet i cant forget sonic.
I was only 5 years old, i remember it was my birthday, i was sitting in my grandparents house, until my father and my uncles came in with an xbox 360.
I quickly opened the box, they also bought me two games: Halo 3 and Sonic Unleashed.
I first started playing sonic unleashed, my mother and uncle teached me how to play the game and i quickly fell in love with sonic.
A few months later and i started watching Sonic X.
Ever since then, ive played countless sonic games and watched different sonic media, and my love for this character just keeps growing up and i cant ever get tired.
Thanks for the memories sonic, i hope my child which is coming in 8 months will also have memories with you, keep going
I've always liked His World but it was never my favorite sonic song, but I think that this is the best cover on the album. I love this so much.

There have been several covers of His World, though none of them have been better than the original and Zebrahead’s remix..

Wasn't Zebrahead the original, and Crush 40 the remix? Zebrahead is the version that actually played in Sonix '06.
Sora8740 The original song was composed by Tomoya Ohtani and performed by Matty Lewis and Ali Tabatabaee from Zebrahead. However, there was a remix version by the entirety of Zebrahead in conjunction. So technically, there’s the original and the remix by the same band (where the original was just the singers and the remix was made with the whole band)
Basically there's 3 main versions of His World:
1. The Original main game version with violins and 4 minutes long by Zebrahead,
2. This version where it's faster and 3 minutes long, or "The Mach Speed" version as I like to call it, also by Zebrahead,
and 3. The Cover version of this done by Crush 40 where it feels far slower and is closer to 5 minutes.

When I was less than 10, my own brain wouldn't let me listen to rap, it just turned into a blurry mess in my ears
I'm not allowed to swear so I changed "Kicking a*s fast* to "taking on a Mask task" when I sing along. It sounds the same

I- wow. Uhhhh, that's a fair point. Sega really is good at making the music or choosing bands to perform their music, but gameplay can seem rushed and story... don't get me started on whoever Sega has writing.

Was the word ass in the original Sonic opening? Because if so, I never noticed it.
Ninjudo As I understand it(I have yet to play Sonic ‘06), “ass” was censored in game, but every official release of the song left it uncensored.
As Nolan said, it was censored in-game, because I guess Sega didn't want any cussing in their games.
Zebrahead usually swear in their songs, so it's unsurprising that they slipped a very mild one in this song.

@@draikon4445 Shadow's game was an odd exception. Sega was planning on making Shadow have a series more directed to older audiences, and keeping Sonic for younger fans. Needless to say, that idea flopped big time.
It might have been censored in the game but idk. Sonic 06 was geared more towards teenagers.
The Zebrahead version too at that! Sonic 06 may have been an "ok" game to me but the soundtracks were awesome.

I got addicted to sonic 06 cuz it was my first sonic game when I was a child, for an entire summer my mind shut out all the bugs and stuff and was like "this is AWESOME!"
Zenthion 770 I was EXACTLY the same way, but it wasn’t my first Sonic game. It was my first modern one though, and we bought an xbox 360 just for it. That game, honestly, is pretty much my childhood distilled into a charming, buggy mess and I love it to this day.
This is straight up my favorite Sonic song and I am beyond happy that it's covered. If they remade this game for each platform with modern graphics and no bugs it would actually kick ass.

I personally never listendd to this song or played Sonic ‘06 but this is slowly making my way up the list of my favorite sonic songs because of your cover . Thanks for the kickass album Nate , hopefully they get talented people like you to work on the next sonic movie!
If I'm being honest 06 isn't as bad as others make it out to be, sure there were issues with gameplay and 'questionable' story elements but the story as a whole wasn't bad and I liked the final Solaris fight

Sonic 06 had so much potential, great music, interesting story, innovative gameplay ideas, Silver, awesome theming and an awesome new villian. I wish we could have gotten the game a couple years later so they could have finished bug fixes and finalized story beats

This makes me miss 2006 so much I was a small 6 year old enjoying the early days of sonic.
Ngl I prefer the original, as it hits certain notes and words hard. I will say however that, as per usual, Nate's version is wonderful. Very smooth and fast pace, fitting of sonic. I also never could make out the net part of the song so well done. I am literally unable to say this version isn't beautiful without feeling like a bull faced liar.
