Hey 👋🏾 .... i started following you when I first joined Greyhound, and your videos definitely helped me. I worked for them for 2 years and now I am a Biomedical Technician. Thank you for your guidance 🙏🏾

You are a true inspiration on so many levels! It's been truly amazing watching your journey from a Greyhound Bus Driver all the way up to Part 121 First Officer on the 767! I know in thirty years or so you'll retire in the left seat of a major carrier wide body or or chief pilot if you so desire! In your off time you should seriously consider giving back to the community by mentoring, lecturing, or teaching the new generation! Myself as a twenty year Greyhound Driver I've enjoyed the majority of my time here and the thirty states I've been to! Keep on chasing the dream and staying focused! There are so many out there in the background cheering you on!

Current CDL guy myself 😊 but I received my commercial a few years back, haven’t flown much and I’m out of currency (life is unpredictable). I have about 700 hrs I’m debating whether to go for the CFI or see if I could just get on board as a jump pilot at a local skydiving club in my area this summer. Even at the age of 54 I’m still not giving up my dream to fly professionally. Thanks for sharing your journey. It definitely inspires me to keep moving forward.

If your trying to get to a jet I would recommend getting into a 135 scheduled company. You’ll get the time faster while also knocking out your X country, night, and IFR requirements.

Love these videos ! Watching these videos and seeing you progress from truck driver to pilot is awesome and motivating to see ! Still over the road as a truck driver and currently working on my instrument now ( saving for a 10 day course ) maybe I’ll start recording my progress and switch from driver to pilot as well lol

Nice job Phillip on the current cargo pathway with information on TT and pay to different jobs. Because you have done the military route, I have a question for you. My daughter is a loadmaster in the AF and has 2 yrs left. She is leaning towards flying cargo, and she is almost done getting her military AA. What Avaition school would you recommend with the use of the GI Bill? Would you do part 61 or 141. Peace and Blessings,

Hi Phillip, thank you for the video. Glad your career is going well. I’m curious what your opinion is on working for the fractional ownership companies like NetJets/Flexjet etc. Is that something you considered on your path?

Is there different qualifications to fly passenger planes bs cargo planes? I’m a kid that wants to learn how to be a pilot but I have no family support and no money resources. Do you know of any programs that I might qualify for to get a student loan to be a pilot? Also can you give me any tips on what I can be doing now in HS to help qualify for these programs? I already get great grades though

You can try to get financing through a college. Money odd the biggest hurdle to aviation.
