this was a perfect video, quick and to the point while also being thorough and not boring! please do more of this and for more sets for the big tournaments.
What’s crazy is that Proto now has a positive set record against Leo now. Barely any player has this I think the only person who has a positive set record against Leo is Esam.
i like this type of competitive smash content. pretty comprehensive, fun analysis. also, i think with some more polish on the rob leo takes it next time.
This tournament was top5 in Jlt for me by the first set of top 12. Top 3 by 8ths and 1st by the time 4 remained. It's just for me, one of the best tourneys in franchise history easily. As for stand-alone, that's still Leo's claim but EVERYONE involved this takes the cake. So much competition.
The fact that leo was fucking up so much and doing stuff that was far from optimal and he still almost won from just being leo is proof enough that next time they fight again/when he optimizes its over.
This set was awesome!!! So many little things to notice! Like, how often they played Town and City!? It seemed like Leo would preform better when there weren't any platforms to worry about. I kept thinking, "just pick Kalos or FD" but they must have been banned. So many Town and City matches, but they were all awesome!!
The mashing reminded me of Riddles vs. Zomba in Pound 2022. IIRC Riddles was mashing out at even around 150%. F/B-throw is probably always the right choice against players like that. They won't kill but at least give a lot of stage control.
I personally disliked how Proto deliberately cooled down Leo by taking huge break times between the matches. Leo is renowned for his composure under pressure and Proto tried to nullify that. Playing under pressure is a skill and there should be a maximum limit of time allowed so players like Proto don’t deliberately take too much time and stall momentum like he did here.
@@ClarityZSS while technicals is in the global banlist, that list does not hold any authority and isnt even ran by tos I agree technicals shouldnt have been there though
That gyro at 11:15 had me rolling when I first watched the set lmao. Even at top level, smash sometimes reminds you how silly of a game it can be. Edit: also does anyone know what's the deal with the "Ban Nairo" sign at 14:24? Was that like an inside joke with his audience or was that person serious?
Leo should've fought with joker or meta but a different character other than rob. Rob is shxt and isn't a top tier character, no matter if you going for stats over wins, never use a character that you're not comfy with sealing the deal.
I think if Tea didn’t obliterate Leo’s joker in the crew battle, he might have been more confident in his joker to pull it out in finals. Idk that’s just how I see it.
Proto’s mash actually won him the set, it’s crazy how good he is at it
Someone drug test his controller
He got a macro on it so its no wonder but still sick
I don’t know how anyone can mash that fast that consistently. Actually crazy
@@Kimberly-uj4hk aren't controllers with macros banned from use in competitive play?
he doesn't even seem to move, if I mashed that hard you'd see me actually headbanging
Best content on the app, this set was insane and you catch a lot of details that would otherwise be lost.
Double Down seriously had some of the best sets in history.
10:19 never seen Leo have a pained expression like that, felt that
I would be too if I kept losing to that min min.
Sigma face

This match was EPIC! Loved the commentary.
"Boink." 😂
Proto the Iceman, I remember watching like two summits ago and he got second or third and iced all of his opponents
This is becoming my favorite smash channel
Me too!
big props to you for not cutting out/censoring that sign after the last game. based
This makes me respect mkleo so much. His rob was sick!!! Mkleo is most def. The GOAT
Your videos are amazing dude. Some of the best smash analysis out there, hope you get the recognition you deserve. Can't wait for more :)
What’s crazy is that Proto now has a positive set record against Leo now. Barely any player has this I think the only person who has a positive set record against Leo is Esam.
Shuton, Ken, and (I think) Kameme all have a 2-0 record against Leo.
Japan is built different
i like this type of competitive smash content. pretty comprehensive, fun analysis.
also, i think with some more polish on the rob leo takes it next time.
Proto is easily one of my favorite players in general however if I have one gripe about him it’s the stalling in between sets, JFC it gets annoying
The Ice King
Call that man Frozone
Aha honestly I love it.
let the guy have his small breaks. It clearly works for him.
@@C0rruptedSpY it’s not just a small break it’s a whole minute
Awesome set. Even better breakdown man keep it up

great coverage, as always
That dude with the ban Nairo sign needs a lifetime ban. Let a man redeem himself
14:32 love the ban Nairo sign that’s technicals if I’m not mistaken
This was a crazy set.
You could cover the cosmos vs kola set too. This tournament was awesome
Called it btw.
I hope next time Leo is like "Nah man, sorry, I don't want you to cool me down like that again so lets play in less than 30 segs"
I really like these videos
Whats up with the 'Ban Nairo' sign at the end of the set?
I’m willing to bet $10,000 that Leo will beat Proto next time they play. He always finds a way to best his demons :)
And it’ll be with joker :)
a legendary return
You're prob right. But I bet people also said this about Leo last time he lost to Proto.
The fact that leo was fucking up so much and doing stuff that was far from optimal and he still almost won from just being leo is proof enough that next time they fight again/when he optimizes its over.
@@ryder4553 they did lol. But conversely it's also always said that X player can surely beat Leo next time too. Good continuity in the plot lol.
love proto but i wish leo had won anyway, either way you got some of the best smash content keep it up bro 💪
Great video again! I will follow you until you become big!
Also, what is this "Ban Nairo" banner at the end, can you explain it? 🤔
Thought he was already banned from tournaments.
@@woodman94 and I thought he was only banned from Twitch for a moment..?
It was just some attention-seeking loser

It's insane how the crowd went dead silent when proto won
The crowd popoff on the ultimate W was good though
You should do a video on Bloom4eva vs Quik in the colossal tournament

Do you plan on covering Jake’s popoff against Gackt?
I've been debating cooking something up that includes that. Should I go for it?

How does protobanham mash so fast???
It's insane!
Because he plays smash 24 hours a day?
@@Seltkirk-ABC yeah sure, but how does he mash so fast?
@@Seltkirk-ABC he’s Asian, he practises 40 hours a day
You should take a look at maisters sets against luugi
Dude has a turbo button on his remote
Can you start the mash while the drilling downthrow
ily
i feel like Leo should have been using nairs to follow up with the down throws. Proto's mashing is insane.
Nice content
What's with the ban nairo sign at the end?
idk
It's Technicals who somehow made it in despite being banned because double down was apparently run by potatoes

That was technicals, who yes does want Nairo banned. Pay him no mind lol
@@skuttler1796 oh, i see. thanks
Well nairo did touch a minor twice so yeah.
Why doesn’t Leo just go Joker? That MU kinda sucks for min min
Ban Nairo? What's that about lol
Keeping him banned from the community because of when he slept with a minor.
Technicals being a 🐱
Seems weird for l4st to be coaching top players I've never even seen him play this game and he seems too young to be an old smash player
awesome video, great analysis, power dragon =/= ram ram
ah damn, I always misname at least 1 thing per video lol
