@@peterarmstrong8613 Great movie and wonderful cinematography. Was the great horse jump over the ridge by Tom Burlinson real, or were special effects involved? It was a spectacular scene!
@TheRussRave Real jump. Tom went for the part of Frank Sinatra in a movie, he didn't get the role but got the part singing. Poor guy who got the role was dubbed 🤣
Always love his and his dad's movies. Congratulations Micky D. Thank you for your kind words about our gum-leaf mafia in Hollywood. Cheers from Sydney, AU. P.S. Georgie did brilliant interview!
The USA is a nation state. America is a continent with areas of it's land mass termed nth central and sth. Yanks always want to be the biggest/best at everything but geography never has been their strong point but they get away with it and others surely follow. The USA is not a continent ... it's as absurd as calling France Europe.
Interesting Info .... Franklin got the money but George Washington never paid it back which led to the poverty that sparked the French Revolution and off with their heads !
Speaking from an objective perspective as an outsider how often are 'actors' merely dismissed as superficial, and in many instances with obvious justification? Yet some accrue great reputations garnered over long and illustrious careers in a tough industry based on public aspects of their lives and sustained by the opinions of credible people who probably know them best. In this interview Michael Douglas talked nothing but good sense based on sound principles illustrated by his simple yet forthright observations. The last President of the United States of America who came from a background in entertainment was Ronald Reagan and based on his Administration's achievements he, was a better than average President! Although indications are that Michael Douglas could make an equally good if not even better President than Reagan. Anybody could be forgiven for wondering how the burden of remedying the political insanity currently afflicting the US could be inflicted on much less accepted by any ostensibly good person? Yet America obviously has increasingly urgent need of good government as opposed to appalling quantities of sordidly and all too often obsequiously self-serving muck, currently being projected upon the general public with the intensity of a jet-engine exhaust by some deplorably biased if not prejudicial journalistic hyperbole. In my opinion Michael Douglas' participation alongside Kathleen Turner and Danny Davito made 'Romancing the Stone' a memorably great movie. (I'm going to revisit it on DVD now)
Aussies might be taking over Hollywood, but back home, it's an abysmal, bereft film industry that is making trashy films because of its total refusal to read new screenplays by anyone outside its closed shop.
hey!, 10% of Men!, kiss their Wife Goodbye? when they are Leaving their House!, however, 90% of Men!, kiss their House Goodbye?, when they are Leaving their Wife!!!.
Why are young Australians now pronouncing the letter Z as "ZEEE" instead of saying "ZED"??? Too much American TV exposure surely . Shows such as "Sesame Street" to streamed stuff.
She said "zeeee" because that is what Michael would have said when referring to his wife. ie Michael Beeee and Katherine Zeeeeee. When young Australians start saying "Zeeeeeeebra" then it's time to worry.
This man is a gentleman. Gave us the best entertainment throughout 70's, 80's,90's, 2000's and beyond.
People forget that from 1972 - 1976 he did a cop show on television called "The Streets of San Francisco" with Karl Malden.
@@michaeltalley51 thank you. Yes it was the 70s
For some reason whenever I see Michael Douglas
I think of the “ Streets of San Francisco “ and Karl Malden.
Outstanding actors👍🇦🇺
I worked with his father Kirk Douglas on ‘The Man From Snowy River’. 1982.
One of my very favorite films! Thank you for providing such terrific viewing entertainment!
@@mariannebonner2280 thank you, I was a special effects technician.

It was the first film to reach the standard of excellence of Hollywood filmed on Australian soil.

I've admired both his work and that of his father for years. Great to see he's still going strong. 👍
Wow, he is looking more like his father every day, and you can see why he is revered in Hollywood.
And still a good looking man.
He has survived throat cancer, prostate cancer and Covid-19.
Wow. Really. Good for him. His father lived until 103 so evidently he is from strong genes. Bless him.
Thus the croakier voice I’m guessing. Good for him
99.7% of people survive covid. It's not that hard
and hollywood.
Michael Rocks. What a career
" Happy Wife, Happy Life" is a good one.
" Happy Spouse, Happy House" is another good one.
Always love his and his dad's movies. Congratulations Micky D. Thank you for your kind words about our gum-leaf mafia in Hollywood. Cheers from Sydney, AU. P.S. Georgie did brilliant interview!
I loved him in Falling Down. What an incredible actor and man it seems.
Great bloke. Great interview.
Maybe Mikey D should run for President 😊
My favourite movies to this day are romancing the stone and jewel of the nile!
Michael Douglas is one of my favourite actors. His birthday is on exactly the same day as mine. He was awesome in Wall Street 👏
Michael looks like he's in good form.
He's a wonderful actor and sounds like a great person! I liked him way back during the Streets of San Francisco through today.
Because they are so freaking talented!
Falling Down.
My MD movie.
Great actor👍
Falling Down, my favourite MD movie.
OMG, sounds exactly like his father😂
Looks so like him too
The only time I will ever thumb up the project
top bloke is Michael Douglas.
He did really well to handle such inane questions. A true professional.
Asking what his impression of the U.S. is today (strong economically, politically at great risk) was not inane, at all.
100% legend. Amazing actor. Love how his characters always brings out the best in women.. 😂😂😂
Micheal Douglas POTUS ! 😊
For an actor, he seems pretty wise
Αγαπημένος ❤❤❤
Good. Let them have it.
Australian actors train at Performing Arts / Drama colleges to become professional actors. Hollywood has been nepotistic for a long time.
OMG!!! Michael is still hot. 🔥
A lovely man, and all respect to him, although he was only saying what the interviewer wanted to hear.
Fluff…
The Project. The Australian version of the View.
For a happy marriage live by 2 rules 1 the wife is always right 2 if wrong refer to rule 1
lol!
Elon musk will be watching.
It’s all about the parties and not about Americans
From Ant Man to Pants Man…
Economically strong? If the loan was called in USA would be owned by another country
the only way another country would own the USA is to put troops on the ground!.....and thats never going to happen!
I understand why Catherine loves this man. He’s a good guy.
Tartaria
It's because they want Australian wait staff and restaurant attendants instead of American waitresses.
Michael Sheen >
Aussies have better training. They also have strong athletic bodies.

If only Michael knew that 8 people would be watching the interview on channel 10.
That many

Appalling interviewer. She is terrible
i disagree self confident intelligent pretty
I’d argue she’s the best person on the project
well she is reporting from the worst tv show there is!...its right up there with the View as far as being extreme leftist!
I think she was good. He’s had a good run Mikey D , good bloke , he & Jack Nicholson would have had some fun in 60’s 70’s . Drugs Chicks Booze
Michael is carrying lots of European (continental), old fashioned (in best sense) touch.
Regards from the EU.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if Michael.... did a man from Snowy, like his dad
