I was still in Vietnam when this movie was done" 67-69 I miss the experience of it all from time to time, I enjoy viewing these old Christmas Movies: I can't say I miss these days not living them at home, but what they do for me is to help ground me in that season of time; I love seeing the adults of that time, grand-parents the kids, and of course the teen kids. Blessings to all: Jesus is LORD......
Very nice! Thanks! 8 years old that Christmas, remember getting a View Master with Lost in Space and Dark Shadows reels, a Strange Change machine, and a Sears football uniform (Johnny Unitas, Baltimore Colts). It was a beautiful Christmas Day in Marquette, Michigan.
I live these old movies of regular folk celebrating and enjoying each others company. Back in a time when people enjoyed what they had and were greatful for it. Werent afraid to be who they were and didnt put on airs.
i remember 1969 as if it just happened ,makes me a little sad ,thanks for sharing ,nice looking family, the way we were ,indeed,i'd go back in a heartbeat-🎄
The little blonde girl is adorable. She looks so much like my cousin at that age. We were both just three years old in 1969. I have several pictures of us around the age of the little girl in this video. My cousin's hair was nearly white and she had it cut short with bangs. I had a wonderful childhood.
I too was 8 years old, great time to be a kid much simpler and basic lifestyle those were the days, and nobody had their FACES stuck to a electronic device!!!
Everyone's favourite time of year, these old family films are priceless. I only wish I had some of my xmas's on film, to look back on, Guess I'll just have to hold on to my memories.
Thank you. Beautiful family ! I was in Junior High in 69. Los Angeles CA I also had a typing class on a mechanical typewriter 😊 Beautiful memories. Wish and pray you are well and stay safe !! 🙋♀️💕
As far as receiving gifts goes, that year was my best Christmas ever as a 10 year old. My parents were divorced so was at my Dad's apartment with my sister. She sat to the right of me. I got the first gift which was a small electric train engine and was happy. Dad had a train track set up on a 4x8 platform in the living room for the last couple of years, so I ran it there later in the day. My sis got a cassette tape recorder, the first in our family. Maybe I was a little envious at that point and I thought the gift giving was over by then, but was way wrong. Dad next brought out a larger package, and it turned out to be another train engine about twice as long. Ooh was I beaming ;) Already thinking this was the coolest Christmas ever, he then later surprised me a third time with the biggest train engine of them all. All were made by Rivarossi, a really nice brand for well detailed trains. I think this was also the year I got a Cuddly Dudley stuffed dog toy with the Bozo Circus tie-in from my mom over at her house. Good times!
i don't know how people remember their christmas presents from childhood. I remember having great gifts.. but not specifics. I remember food and family more because it was the only time i saw my cousins and people made jello side dishes lol.
@@keetahbrough maybe it was because our family didn't have extended family in our lives much. We had cousins but we didn't get together much at all. So I guess the gifts left the impressions on us, along with the food somewhat. Might also have something to do with the boomer generation getting cool hands-on memorable toys, before the video game generation came along. Thanks for writing and Happy Thanksgiving!
I always felt sorry for those kids who had their birthday at Christmas time because invariably there was going to be ONE set of reelativs as parsimoniouis as my parents and they always hosed the poor kid out of a present!

THE MUSICAL GROUPS FINAL DECADE
0:20 Completely off topic, but tell me that blue and white sweater isn't absolutely beautiful.
What part of thee country was this?
Sacramento California
You all noticed that there are no religious things going on! When X-mas is about CHRIST, and yet the family is presenting each other with presents!
Do the Jessee boys remember what they got for Christmas that year?
Not a little boring. PWG
