Without the decals it reminds me of a Rocket Pop 🤣🤣🤣. Coming along great Kyle! That hood is wild, I can't believe the tires had that type of reaction in the box. I've seen it happened but never that extreme 😬
@@scaleffect it looks exactly like a rocket pop. 🤣 I have to get decals on it so it looks less like a popsicle. lol. Yeah this is the worst tire reaction I’ve ever had. Usually the tires get moved around at some point so the burns aren’t as bad. This thing must’ve sat on a shelf for 50 years without even being bumped. lol. Thanks for watching my friend.

Cool video Kyle. Man, I'd be like running away from that Jaguar. So much tired burn everywhere. Indy car is looking good. I should be getting some work done in mine. Dog sitting Daisy can sometimes be a bit much, she likes a lot of attention sometimes.
@@LarrysModelShop thanks Larry!! Yeah, I don’t have any plans to use these parts. I’ll try to source a rebuilder glue bomb or maybe get lucky and find a hood section somewhere. The glass part won’t matter as that’s just the optional hardtop. I’ll just use the down top and not worry about it. Tires will likely be from the aftermarket or maybe I’ll try to resin cast these. Never tried that before. And I know dog sitting can be a lot of work!! I should be further on mine too but no hurry for either of us! Just figured I’d show the paint off before I decaled.
Yikes! I don't have hardly any old or used kits, but I'm about to go check them right now! Love the Indy car. I'm going to jump into mine as soon as I wrap up a couple group builds!

Must’ve sat in a closet in exactly the same spot with no movement for 50 years!! I cannot wait to see your Indycar build! I know it’ll be great.

I built one of the XKEs, probably in the 1980s. It's a multi-piece body so the lower part of the body / doors is separate and part of the chassis, and a pain to paint. That's what I remember from the kit. The body was made that way because originally the kit was sold in a flat box and that's what they did to make it fit. I think it's an original Aurora mold maybe? I don't remember any other issues with it though. That Indy car looks like a giant Ice Pop frozen snack LOL

Cool old Jaguar kit, pretty bad tire damage, I would do a raced version with a little damage and some tire marks (donuts) on the side. The Indy car is coming along nicely!
I have the new release of the Revell Jag. DUnno if they're the same kit. I'm going to an IPMS show that our sister club is having today...and I was talked into judging the automotive class. 😮 Probably because I think I'm the only member of our club that builds cars!
