I started this AMV a good 3 years ago and idk where the hell the inspiration came to start it over but hERE IT IS BRINGING BACK MAJOR NOSTALGIA
The theme is a bit of an AU where Simon in the normal universe remembers a lot of the Nia in the AU one in her flowery dress and such and I tried showing a lot of the similar scenes interchangeably, I hope it worked c:
Also wanted the title to represent Simon telling Nia to wait for him in the next timeline of their life so they could fall in love again........*wIPES TEARS*

I actually love how it ends. I will remember this ending for a long years. It breaking cliche of MC,who beats every enemy,lost his friends but live happily till his death. Simon helps to create the whole new world. But the biggest change he had himself. He already get everything what he could had and lost most of it. He may be scary to try again,to lose everything one more time. Not everyone would be happy in their lifes and there are people who are like Simon - they're relucant heroes,who fights because they need to. He don't have to fight anymore, he's not greedy that's why he goes to the shadows. This world doesn't need him anymore and he agreed with that.
Its like a metaphore to real heroes who fights in the battles,veterans etc. As long as we need them,they will be praised. But there would be the time,when those old heroes became the symbols of the past, cuz there will be someone new. They might be forgotten. But I think a lot of them do exactly what Simon did - just accept this new reality.
This show is one of the things which kept me alive, I adore these characters

@@shiroko6333 I agree. The ending is sad, but it's more meaningful than the ususal cliche ending. He learned that he wasn't cut out for being a political leader like Rossiu. He also doesn't want to love anyone like Nia. He decides to just move on and do what he wants. He's free from all the responsibilities that tied him down. Even if he's alone, he's free.

it’s fitting it ended this way. Nia taught Simon how to move on and to not give dead people so much power over you. Nia helped get Simon past the loss of his best friend, she was only in his life to teach him this lesson. Some people come into your life for a reason and some for a season. Their love will live on. Forever.

@@sriramwdkw1566 Let's say simon does use his spiral powers to save Nia and they live happily together. What would Simon do if someone else in the gurren lagann team was about to pass away? Since simon used his powers to save nia surely he'll have to help the others too, and does the cycle just continue? Every time someone is about to die just ask simon to save the person. Personally, I think that's why yoko said at the very end that simon isn't god and using his power to bring back the dead isn't ideal for anyone. People need to look forward and not focus so much on the dead, and that is something everyone needs to learn to do
Guren Lagann is one of the animes that left me with so many mixed emotions, idk whether to feel sad, devastated, happy or relieved. But it taught me to always believe in myself!
Or at least believe in the you that exists in the hearts of your loved ones! The ones that know how awesome and amazing every single human can be.

Well. Not exactly my kind of song but. The effects were very good, along with the scene changes. They were very well paced not too fat but not too slow. The work was greatly above average if not almost perfect. Overall very well done!
