BARAHAPOKHARI, LAMJUNG

Barahapokhari is one of the most beautiful, pristine & sacred pilgrim place. It is situated at the altitude of 3100 masl in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung District.
The area is pristine for the simple reason that not much people/ tourist have known & visited this area. One can enjoy the fascinating natural beauty by starring at series of mountains, rhododendron forest.
The mystical bird is supposed to clean the pond throwing all the fallen leaves. Barahapokhari is in the middle of the forest but you cannot see a single floating leaf.
Barahapokhari is famous pilgrimage destination of the locals during Janai Purnima festival. Even dumb children are believed to have started speaking after getting the blessing here.
There are several trails to reach the Barahapokhari area. This area is habitat for nomadic herdsman. So following those herdsman can also enable you to reach this area.
