This touched me like you cannot imagine. I am old and sick. I've been a Christian my whole life. Now near death, I feel His presence more than ever before. I want to thank all of you for allowing people in our country to share your beautiful music. Hard to believe that you are not angels.

For those who don't know ... this performance is Barbra Streisand's rendition (from her 1997 Higher Ground) album VERBATIM (down to the last note) which I have no problem with because you just can't improve on sheer perfection. Just giving credit, where credit is due.
Barbra Streisand is quoted as saying she heard the original version (by Geron Davis) sung at a funeral she attended in 1994 and determined to record it herself. The funeral was for Virginia Kelley, former president Bill Clinton’s mother.
