- Need For Speed Rivals was released back in 2013 and for some reason the game was capped at 30 fps even on PC. Most Attempts to unlock the frame rate will usually break game and some events. I've tried going above 60 fps but it made the game unplayable. Here is the Final Race in the game; 'Grand Tour' Hot Pursuit and the Ending Cutscene in the Koenigsegg One:1.
Played on PC using Xbox Series X Controller.

Honestly Rivals wasn't that bad. I remember getting it for my X360 when I was sick and out of school. The pure chaos and literal fear not wrecking urself was insane
In pc its a decent game bc you can mod out the issues like popping
@@Shakerini-tf7fp on the 360 actually didn't feel that bad, considering it ran below 10fps at times. X360 and PS3 had literally every tiny bit of sweat sucked out of them

Honestly this is the game EA should've remastered. HP was already pretty much issueless. If this game had uncapped FPS and the bugs were fixed it'd be one of, if not, the best NFS games imo. The cops in this game are the best and most ruthless in the series.
Maybe they are gonna remaster it? I really hope so as its my favourite nfs game
"HP was already pretty much issueless" Let me just laught real quick. Ha. If i only include bugs with HPR we get the following:
-Pop Up Traffic, Ghost Traffic, Traffic spawning on top of each other, Traffic not synchronised across platform
-Traffic velocity and movement physic is an absolute joke
-Oversized hitbox
-Road Block spawning in your face, Road Block cars clipping through wall and suddenly moving as you are about to pass the hole, Road Block never spawning, Road Block spawning behind MW, Road Block spawning beyond finish line.
-Helicopter dropping Spikes where it is not, Helicopter has a Hitbox (WHY), Helicopter phase through walls/roads.
-Almost all races/hot pursuit maps can allow a racer to go outside the race's path boundaries and also allow for racers to win the race map backward.
-In rare occasion two player could spawn at the same location when starting a session
-In rare occasion (Mostly just a problem for MW:) a lobby can glitch and ending up with a MW Cop
-If you have more than 100+ NFS HPR EA Friends your game will always crash upon finishing a solo mission or trying to quit it.
-2010 FPS Stutter Fix workaround was never lazily added to HPR nor was the issue outright fixed.
TLDR, it's not "issueless" lol
-Not a bug but pissing off everyone: EA Does not ban cheaters nor was anything coded to prevent basic cheats from working.

You're an incredible driver in this game. Barely took damage and timed all your turbos perfectly.
Few things in this game that might need to be changed but personally this NFS is1 of the best.thanks for posting this gem

Another person playing one of my childhood games (the other is The Crew) on either a PC or PS4, at least for me a loud ass PS4. It’s still nice to see that a lot of people still play this game, even though it’s 10 years old (myself included). If I remember correctly, the most annoying thing about this game isn’t the traffic (that’s a close second), it’s, imo, between spike strips and ground clipping issues

Ok so your jam is only for whats currently active. Its not a status over time effect, it clears everything from emp to spike strip instantly then goes.
That heli strip was deployed a second later

Hi ZombieHead3000, its been awhile.
8:10 this shit irritates so much to this day. Even if you jam a helicopters spike strip, if you drive directly over the model, you wont take any damage but your tires will still get burst. Roadblocks and spikes dropped by Police cars dont have this stupid bug
Gotta say NFS Rivals is the most satisfied experience I've had in the NFS franchise. I recently purchased Heat but the feeling / gameplay wasn't at all peek my interest like Rivals did. There's just something about the game that hook me right when I first stepped in the map. Nevermind the criticism cuz I will probably enjoy this little piece of racing wonder for the lifetime!

I could never play this game and even listening to it makes me twitch. Compared to the OG Most Wanted the com chatter is just awful... disjointed and doesn't make sense at times. Better than the latest title mind you... but still not great. When you hear "request backup" 8x in a row... same line and VA... gets old very quickly.
This is because Rivals don't have pure single player experience, which OG MW had. Rivals have single player mode but it is "tied" with multiplayer mode that even the game didn't allowed you to pause the game, akin to most Counter-Strike offline gameplay.
If we compared with old days Call of Duty Black Ops 2, it feels OG MW pursuit is like campaign mode, while Rivals pursuit is like multiplayer mode with bots.
