Is your footwork causing a nose-up throw? - Vlogsmas Day Five

- Now, nose-up throwing is an epidemic in the disc golf backhand world, and there could be 50 reasons why your throw is coming out nose-up. BUT, have you considered that it might be your footwork?
Lucas (thanks Lucas) was nice enough to let me breakdown his throw, and show him how STAYING ON THE BALLS OF YOUR FEET, could be the answer to getting your throw to start being more nose-down.
I DARE you to try this out, and tell me it doesn't help. It might not get you all the way home, but it will definitely start your journey.

I love how even the dog listens to Ben with a maximal attention
I could do a whole other UA-cam channel about Booker
@@BensBigDrive As my t-shirt always say, "just do it".
That makes a lot of sense! I've been working on my walk up and trying to stay off my heels and I've noticed that I've been throwing with much better nose angle. Thanks for the explanation
It solves so many issues, it really is the first thing I ALWAYS look for in people's form. But thanks so much for your support!!!
As a fellow lefty, I love this video even more. I need to work on this to because I too have the same issue. I am always on my heels and falling backwards or losing my balance. More videos for the lefties please!! :)
You need to start a DG channel only for lefties. No one else is allowed to subscribe 😂
@@BensBigDrive HAHA, I would love to, but I don't know where to begin. My channel would not be for coaching, but more of a journey. I need a good name to get me inspired. Think my videos would be very "mono" and no one would be interested. Maybe I should watch your Vlogsmas Day 1 video again lol. Thanks Ben :)
That grazing cow looks a little on the small size, doesn't it?
Very nice video! I'm sitting on my heals a lot too... Nice to get the reminder to get on your toes! :D
Thanks!
That’s why he’s grazing so hard, he’s a growing boi!!!
@@BensBigDrive 😂
That’s me! Following your advice on how to take notes in the other video and that “Fulshageru..” acronym, I compared myself to Drew Gibson in the OnForm app. He was leaning way forward with a smooth swing with the disc level to the plane throughout. Me on my heels, the disc starts low goes high over my elbow in the pocket and follows through tilting nose up exactly like here. Can’t wait to try this lean over and my nose up disappear. Thanks!!
FWHUCSHLER for the win!!! I’m glad it’s helping you out, drew and Simon have absolutely impeccable footwork, and I’m glad you’re working on your footwork first to take care of the much larger issues first and foremost!! Thanks so much for watching Stephen!
@@BensBigDrive quick question: should I choose one pro to study that resembles my skinny body? I look nothing like drew, but more like Gannon Burr.
@@stephenwilliamson8364 wow I’m certainly jealous, but it definitely can’t hurt to watch someone with your body type, but anything you watch drew do is good practice for any body type, you really can’t go wrong.
I wanna be like you when I grow up
Drink lots of milk then
I've "Ben" trying to figure out what was causing this. thanks for a simple fix! Good looking Vizsla. Mine eats cucumber and squash raw.
2023 is the year of NO big nose up energy
Writing this on my mirror
sweet videos man ... def subbed up.. get that dog some extra vitamins man they eat grass when they lack vitamins a lot of times!
Don’t act like we didn’t realize you dubbed your voice in the beginning 😅
Better than “BDKALOSBDBLEPEPSVDBTR” from the wind 😂
How are you supposed to have your weight on the toes of your front foot during the throw when you're supposed to also rotate on your heel.
This is a great question!! So, when your hips finally fire forward, the rotation of your front hip into the brace will push your front heel down to help you brace properly. So until that moment your weight should be on the balls of your feet. Great question though, thanks for asking it!
Those tee pads are so interesting - is that trex-style decking boards? Never seen that style before. Great Vlogsmas so far!
Thanks so much J.R.!!! And these teepads are actually just concrete with some drainage slots built in, I really like them, they dry out super quickly.
Great video. Excited to try this at my next field work sesh. Thanks!
