April 6, 2013. Live performance at the Vienna Presbyterian Church.
Who will sing for the Nightingale
    when the night is gone;
    when the daylight comes.
Who will sing for the Nightingale
when she sleep alone in the sun?
Many's the time her silken tones
soothed my rough and weary bones
    Many's the time her lullabye
    brought me to my rest.
    (Harp interlude)
Many's the time her silken tones
soothed my rough and weary bones
    Many's the time her lullaby
    brought me to my rest.
But who will sing for the Nightingale?
Her own sweet song is silent now
Who will sing for the Nightingale
when she sleep alone in the sun?
when she sleep alone in the sun?

What a beautiful performance - how did I miss this for nearly 10 years, and what a delight to stumble on it tonight. Thank you both.

Deborah Henson Conant has a website and makes it available in several different keys also some harp music websites have it as well for download. It is the advanced version with the melody taken by the cello in the lower key.
