I've been getting more into power pop thanks to The Lickerish Quartet, which features three members of Jellyfish (Roger, Tim and Eric). UA-cam recommended this video. It's now on my work playlist. Loving it.
I remenber he came to Japan in 2007 and play this song. In my university days I and my friend used to listen many bands in small apartment and Jason Falker is his favorite.
Huh. Has it always been 'illuminate the night'? I've been hearing 'eliminate the night' in the album version. Not sure which I prefer, though obvs 'illuminate' makes more literal sense. But if we can actually 'eliminate the night' that is clearly one louder, right?
It is the first cut on the original/Japanese album "I'm OK You're OK" (this exact version), which I believe was import only here in the States. The US version has a different of This Time (not as good in my opinion).
Jason Falkner is a musical genius.

Great!!
This is the first song on JF's album, I'm OK You're OK. The lyrics to all songs are in the liner notes.
